Just wonder (hope!) someone here on the Ledge was at the California show last night, i see on StevieNicksInfo that Stevie sang the great Supremes hit 'Love Is Like An Itching In My Heart'; such a favorite of mine, forever- i just can't "picture" or hear what Stevie's approach to the song might have been, i think the original vocal by Diana Ross was brilliant, classic, and whatever other superlative i might use that i can't think of now-- i hope Stevie keeps it in her set for whatever casino shows she may have planned (I'm hoping for Foxwoods/MGM Grand or the MoSun here in CT)... We may grumble about cover songs, but gosh, this is one I'd love to hear!
And as long as she's covering Miss Ross, i'd suggest,if i had the chance, that she try 'Remember Me' next, one of Diana's very best ever (written by Ashford and Simpson)-- i can hear Stevie's voice covering "Remember Me' ('bye baby, see you around, didn't i tell you i wouldn't hold you down' seems like an older cousin, in a way, to 'there you go again, you say you want your freedom, well who i am to keep you down')
I hope it shows up on youtube or somewhere, i gotta hear Stevie sing 'the love bug done bitten me, didn't mean for it to git me- whooo0000'........... :)
