What a surprise.

There have got to be more up her sleeve. She is not going to get her band together just for one show.

Remember during the dedication of Landslide at the PNC in Holmdel - last show of the tour in June - she thanked the people that loaned her their house to holiday in and she said that she was going away for three months to rest so that she could come back at the end of the summer and start again.

I guess she stuck to her word!

Stevie has been more random about her shows over the last three years. She's kind of living the life of a retiree, whatever she feels like doing. Maybe she's planning another visit to Walter Reed.

Hey Daniel ~ funny you write about Walter Reed...a couple weeks ago a friend from Maryland told me he read in the local paper THE CECIL WHIG something about Stevie Nicks and someone else doing something down that way...Cecil County is in Maryland and very close by is Walter Reed...hhmmm...I've not been able to find anything on the web through that papers' past publications...my friend did not remember exactly what was written and of course he no longer had the paper !!

come to cali?~ i know she didn't hit there this last tour, but my god, she usually has so many dates there it is ridiculous~ there are whole chunks of the country that she disses~ like where i am from~ she hasn't played here solo in 22 years~ & she sold out the venue & has tons of fans here~

the mac played here for the say you will tour & sold out too~ but they hadn't been here since the tusk tour~ they did have dates scheduled here for other tours & actually sold out their tix, only to cancel~

she needs to spread herself out more~ it's not fair that she plays the same places over & over & over~

you know she says she getting older & such~ well so are her fans~ & when i was younger (in my 20's) it was nothing to throw a bag in the back of my car & follow her to the ends o the earth~ but now i am 40, i wrk, i am a mom~ & i just can't follow her where ever she feels the need to play~ she should connsider this~

Ok, I just got tickets, thanks for the heads up everyone! They don't have a seating chart at Ticketmaster or on the casino's website, so I was kinda going in blindly. I'm section 110, row D.

I think it is interesting that she is doing one show in Detroit, without a known reason. It makes me think of the last tour when she would give this story of how Jimmy Iovine was helping Bob Segar record an album and one day Bob did not show up to the studio. Later in the day Jimmy got ahold of him and Bob said was an hour outside of Detroit. He was going to play a show.

Maybe Stevie wanted to do the same. Haha. Who knows what the reason for this one night show is about. I had wondered at first why she was going to play at the Rosemont Theatre in Illinois but then there was Soundstage.

Thats very interesting that she will be here in Michigan again. Those tickets are high and well I've already paid that high price this summer at PK/DTE this yr. I don't think I'll be going esp if its the "same set list" as this summer anyway. Personally why bother.....plus the holidays are coming up and I have to think about gifts. So sorry Stevie not this time.......IMO anyway....no offence anyone....I'm sure I'll hear about the whole thing on here anyway.....I see now the Soundstage thing is pushed back til next yr too.....not soo surprised.....:rolleyes:

The casino isn't new...... but now from reading the article it sounds like the Sound Board theatre or whatever it is called is new......... it is the grand opening it sounds like but I'm not positive on that--should be interesting!! I'm just kicking myself for not checking out this board sooner to know tickets went on sale yesterday  And I actually had the day off of work so I could have def been online first thing when they went on sale :distress: Did anyone get orchestra or the floor tickets??

Definitely a business decision. Not like she's touring. She's starting rehearsals with the Mac in January...probably needs the money to buy Christmas presents - or is giving her band a gig so they can buy theirs! LOL

I think that the floor may be GA.

Not positive on this one but when I tried ordering tickets the first hour, just to see what I could pull up, when I selected the top price tickets GA was displayed in the section box. About an hour later they change that. Long story short, no floor tickets have been available (I tried for those from the get-go too), no casino VIP packages and no broker tickets period. I'm thinking that they are holding the floor seats back and they will be GA-first come first served. We'll see.

She kind of did, if you count the shows at the beginning of February - I wandered out to Anaheim for the one at Fullerton, but that's because I am goofy.

But that sucks that she doesn't do shows near enough to you.

When I am rich, I shall purchase a van and turn it into an enormous tophat on wheels. Then I will tool back and forth across the land, picking up stray Ledgies, and dragging them to shows.

To raise gas money, I'll get a loudspeaker to play an ice cream truck version of "Rhiannon" really loud, and sell sno-cones out the back.

I have no idea what makes you say that, CAD.

Sometimes Stevie opens with Outside the Rain instead of Stand Back, and sometimes she closes with BATB instead of HAEWAFY... AND she sometimes does Fall From Grace and other times does not... I think she's really proven herself to be an incredibly fresh and dynamic performer. You're being unfair.

When is Stevie playing again? I think she should make a new cd she should have enough material, these best ofs, etc... are wearing thin, in my opinion, and fresh material seems like it would be so easy for her. She should have enough songs for even 3 or 4 new cds. I may be optimistic but I really feel that she can do this and now rather than later. She gives new meaning to the song I can't wait especially since the change of dates for the Soundstage arrival. I may not stop writing I can't seem to:] oh well all in all my point is that Stevie needs to put a new cd out like yesterday!
And no ifs, buts, or wonts, because that is unacceptable to a gypsy...............
