I purchased the Japanese Version of "Street Angel" this past week, and it just came in the mail. Here are two prestine, obviously album quality rips of "God's Garden" and "Inspiration."

Thank you very kindly.

These are shedloads better than a good chunk of what ended up on the NA release of the album... I can never figure out the choices Stevie makes regarding what goes and what stays on her albums. *shrugs*

These are good songs if you don't have them yet - I really love Inspiration.

I love "Insparation"!!!!!!!!
"I remember your voice at the station, just call me insparation..." That line sounds sooo good, Stevie mastered it! It would have been altogether perfect, if Stevie had written it...

God's Garden is fab in my book. I just wonder how much better than it already is it could have been if the Klonopin had not been there.

I find God's Garden is hindered by the fact that it's 6 freaking minutes long. The songwriting doesn't warrant that. I enjoy it for about half that long. I can see the appeal though. :)

Agree with the Inspiration-loving, though. It closes the album perfectly.

Drop Docklands, Destiny, Just Like a Woman, and Jane off the record, and leave Inspiration tacked on the end, and IMO you have yourself a pretty cracking 10-track Nicks album.

I was able to compare these mixes (From the Japanese EMI release) to the mixes from a disc entitled the Stevie Nicks "Street Angel Master Mixes" Feb.24,1993 & Feb.26,1993, definitely not the same mixes used (Nor are these versions on the "Master Mix" used on the official US "Street Angel" release)

Check 'em out (Listed in .wav format)

If the 2 tracks I posted interest y'all, I can upload the whole "Street Angel Master Mix" disc (In mp3 192kbs format)

I disagree with you about "Just Like A Woman"...I think Stevie does a great cover version of that...plus she got Bob to play on it, so that in itself warrents it's inclusion...and I guess I sort of like Docklands somewhat...does seem to be missing something, though...Destiny is ok, but Enchanted is great, so it seems to be derivative, maybe if it had come out before E, it would be better and Jane is pretty, but kind of boring... I'd drop "Listen To The Rain" and "Love Is Like A River" before any of the other's though...they are the only two Stevie songs ever that just never grew on me...the rest of the cd (and the bsides, all) I absolutely love..

These two tracks are some of my favorites that Stevie has ever done.

*gasp* I love both of those songs! Shockhorror! I think they're the two most unique tracks on the album. Songs like Destiny and Jane just seem to me like rehashes of stuff she's done before, and much much better.

Different strokes. :)

It was complete news to me that this album had bonus tracks in some territories. I'm a bit underwhelmed by the click-track-esque drum program that runs at the beginning of "God's Garden". Are these two songs really composed by Ethan Johns, like it says in the file info? Regarding Stevie having moved Ethan's dad Glyn Johns out of the producer's chair late during the album process, it would be no wonder that these two were left off.
She is in very fine voice here!
Thank you very much for posting!
