Perez is actually a huge Stevie Nicks fan.

Use the search engine on his site - he has posted a number of timely items about Stevie, including tour announcements, CD releases, etc. He even posted a video of her singing Crash.

Stevie has discussed the damage drugs did to her nose. She even described the dime-sized hole cocaine created and her doctor's warning that her nose was so damaged that she could die. It's those admissions that Perez is playing with.

In regard to many other celebs, I don't like his judgmental tone when he demonizes certain behavior - and people - that really don't deserve his moral mandate. He hates almost everybody on The Hills, but he made them famous by writing about them non-stop.

I want to say he shouldn't be taken seriously, but the entertainment industry takes him very seriously. He has more readers than People & US combined. One item on his site has a PR value in the mid-five figure range.

^ Agreed. I really quite dislike Perez, but the fact is: On the rare occassion that a decaying nose comes up in conversation, Stevie is what's going to come up in my mind.

It's not that I don't love her. It's just that she's the only person I've ever heard speak candidly and regularly about having a really effed up nose.

I was a tad harsh I admit but personally he just makes my skin crawl. I don't have respect for anyone who makes money by trashing other people and their lives. I know she has admitted her drug problem and I commend her for that, I just get sick of his ways alot. If I had to make money like he does by getting ratings and laughs at someones expense then I am glad I am poor. I dont like people who I know who do this, It makes me sick.

You didn't sound rude. Your gut reaction to a perceived attack on Stevie was to shoot first (boot first?) and ask questions later. It's a "front line baby" moment. With a new CD/DVD on the way, plus the FM album, hostilities will only increase, so it's no time to get weak. We need to be more proactive in dealing with terrorist press that spread anti-Stevie propaganda, particularly that Stevie & FM fans are completely unaware of the natural process of aging. ("The 60-year-old performer isn't the twirling, energetic presence she was at 28." Yes, thank you Mr. Lard Ass Critic, I wasn't aware of the passage of time.) Someone's bound to report that Stevie and Lindsey were once married. There will be those critics that all Lindsey an "alchemist" who is more responsible for FM's commercial success than Chris & Stevie combined, because women can't write songs. God forbid Stevie puts on a few pounds and some infidel cracks wise about her weight. I've got three genetically-enhanced doves with steel-plated beaks and SARS-soaked claws that are trained to go right for the eyes.
Luckily, the mainstream media hasn't caught on that Night of 1,000 Stevie's isn't actually a big drag rock pageant, but a militant training camp for our most devout - Stevie Suicide Bombers.
