It's not airing ever I think on my PBS station, WNED, just WNED-HD which i don't get which is freaking bullshit. Now I wish the freaking DVD was still coming out this month. I mean I'm sure once it airs it'll all be on Youtube within a week, but I don't know if thats how I want to see this awseome concert for the first time, hunched in front of a computer screen watching each song individually, so I might just wait til September to get to see this. And heh at least i won't have to have it split in two. But I'm still pissed at PBS.

I have the HD problem in my area too. While it's not the same, I'm going to check and see if any family/friends have HD and offer to bring Chinese! (at 12MN????) :o

This may be a stupid question, but where do I find out if my PBS station is airing this?

EDIT: Nevermind- I found it and mine isn't airing it tonight either. Bastards. :(

so if it's in HD then you can't watch it at all if you don't have HD?

I took my 80 year old mother to see Stevie on April 20,2008 and we had a great time. In a little under an hour the two of us will sit in front of the TV and watch the PBS special together. The live show we saw was awesome. I want my mom to tell me later which one she thinks is better. And then I'll tell you all what she said...

No, I think he meant that he doesn't have PBS HD from his cable company, and the regular PBS for some reason isn't airing it. That does suck. PBS is airing it on both their HD channel and their regular channel out of the NYC area.

Well we watched it together. When I got to her house she was watching CBS, some show with Marg Helgenberger and I said it should be on now so switch the channel. She said it's on. I said it's on PBS not CBS and she said it's the right channel. I said no, can't you see the CBS symbol in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. So she hit channel 2 on the remote and nothing happened. I said you have to hit 02 to get channel 2.
She got it right and we missed maybe the first 30 seconds. Stand Back, Stand Back. The tv in front of us along with a large mirror where I could watch the tv and her facial expressions at the same time. She looked bored silly thru the whole thing but when I asked her if she was bored she said no. She had a hard time understanding the words. Here's a good one for you. At the end of SARA when she sings, "all I ever wanted was to know that you were dreaming" my mother said/asked, "was to know that you were a free man?"
I laughed and told her all us fans laugh at ourselves when we find out what she was really saying compared to what we thought she was saying.
She said the show was better in person. She commented that the show was edited cause of the different outfits, but they never showed Stevie leave the stage.
She said she could see Stevies' face better on tv than in person.
My only gripe would be that I didn't like the fact that the camera was all over the place. In every song the camera panned over everyone. After all it's Stevie Nicks not the SN Band. All the band members except Al Ortiz were shown constantly. Only one quick closeup of Al and then most of the time you'd hardly see him at all, like he wasn't even there.
I kept thinking I wish they'd show at least one song where it's all Stevie but that never happened.
The vocals were crisp and clear, a very good recording and ofcourse the lady looked beautiful.
The funniest part for me was when she said the director wanted to get the song SARA on tape before the world blows up!!!
Enjoy it everyone. Also there were no pledge breaks. They played it straight thru the full one hour, no interruptions.

Well, luckily you got this all straightened out with minutes to spare, because I might have just jumped up and snatched the remote. Which would have been wrong:lol:.

No pledge breaks the first time through is good. I guess they'll have breaks when/if they rerun it.

It was shown again last here in Oklahoma, and again tonight though for only 15 minutes (WTF?)
