Thanks to Phillysdad who always sends me Stevie's tour numbers- I was pleasantly surprised to see that she sold more than 10,500 tickets at her Detroit-area gig, plus had a sellout at The Zoo- here's the figures, third time i'm trying to get them all listed here (how do you 'find' a new thread you've started but haven't posted yet, anyone know?) This will take me a few more tries, and editing, so the completed final thread should be posted by 7:30pm (not that anyone cares, i just have been at this for an hour now!)

She didn't play Columbus on this past tour. She was in Cincinnati on June 26, at National City Pavilion. However, your atendance figures for this date appear to be correct, along with the ticket prices.

And with the closing of Polaris/Germain amp, I don't know if she'll ever be back here in Columbus :-(

I didn't know that. I saw TP & The Heartbreakers(special guest, you know who) there in '06. That was one rockin' good time. Lot of partying, fun people there. I could do without the wooden fencing all around the place, but other than that, a cool place for a concert. Oh, and did I mention the traffic?! NIGHTMARE!!

I'm not sure of the LC's capacity...I'm sure it's somewhat comparable to the venues she's been playing this go-around...but to me, it just seems so small. I think there are only about 10-15 rows of reserved seating, and the rest is a very, very small lawn section.

According to Wikipedia, it holds up to 45oo.

Very small visually, but maybe it would work for Stevie. She certainly isn't filling the barns like she used to.

I was at that same concert, and the traffic was horrendous. That is my biggest complaint about Columbus...so much emphasis has been placed on the suburbs, and the downtown has suffered. Now, with gas prices, I think there is finally an effort to revitalize downtown...and I'm really hoping its successful.

I really enjoy shows at the LC (partially because I can walk), but for many acts, the LC is too small, and Nationwide Arena is too large.

Getting to downtown Columbus is one thing. Going beyond is another. I'm still not sure how I made it to Germain Amphitheater, or got back for that matter. I was totally confused. There had to be cars backed up off the exit ramp to Germain Amphitheater at least for a few miles. I really was afraid I wasn't going to make it to see the show on time. In fact, I think they even delayed the show a little bit because traffic was SO BAD! Probably Tom's suggestion. ;) I pondered rather or not I would ever go back, but the show was totally worth it.

I'm so glad I made that trip that day. That was one of the best concerts I've ever seen. I was phoning Brian(Johnny Stew), letting him listen in on the concert and giving him my added commentaries. The choice to go that day was totally spontaneous. I was working a middle shift at the time, got up to check the ticket availability, and bingo, I scored a really good seat. Called in and took a vacation day. Thank God my employer is a very flexible company to work for. To see Stevie and Tom and The Heartbreakers on stage together was just such a fantastic thing. It made fighting the traffic so insignificant. That was one "moment" I will never forget!

It was a very fun night...the only mishap occurred when a friend dragged me off for a beer run resulting in my missing the first half of "Insider," arguably the one song I was most excited to hear. But all in all, it was a great night.

Man, now I want to go to a concert...and there doesn't seem to be anyone interesting coming to Columbus this summer :-(
