I'm frustrated! Bought pixelated photos

Hi you all out there,
I'm pretty frustrated today. I recently purchased some photos off eBay from a seller who is well-known for selling photos again and again. Well, I just thought maybe she got wiser with the years and is selling nice photos. I got my package today and was so pissed off to see that few of these photos are somewhat pixelated. It's not nice to look at them. Ok, I paid $ 3 for one photo but that's not what I'm angry about. I mean, WHY in the hell are still people out there who are selling pixelated photos that were downloaded anywhere from the net and then printed on photo paper? I think it's not nice to rip off fans this way. I bought a set of 15 photos from her....9 from the first auction, 6 are still to come. I don't mind when someone is selling Stevie photos again and again but I'm strictly against pixelated or downloaded photos printed on photo paper!
Anyone else out there who had bad experiences this way? Or is there a way to see if this is a pixelated photo or not BEFORE bidding on an auction?? I mean when someone is writing to a seller asking about the quality...I doubt that the seller would say it's pixelated....

THATS TERRIBLE. I was burned so terribly by once when someone sold me the Rumours outtake photos, and they were sooooooooo grainy and horrible.
AND also, I bought what i thought were prints once, but also turned out to be downloaded pics printed on photo paper. I feel your pain.

I don't know if we bought from the same seller, but I had bought this very one from a VERY reputable seller, and that's the way the slide was. It wasn't the seller per-say, it was who they had gotten the slide from. The slide was just a bogus job. Hope that helps. It wasn't a watermark....but an oddly developed or damaged slide.
I sold my (Stevie w/ chicken-pox) version some years back on Ebay stating THERE ARE MARKS ALL OVER THIS PIC cause I had found a clear version...which I always wondered about, cause if the slide had been damaged at the get go, how was a clearer version to be had?????

first thanks for your sympathy for this experience.
Well, it seems that this person has opened a new eBay User ID. She placed a bid on one of my eBay auctions under this new name, she just registered yesterday! Weird, isn't it? I've put her on my blocked bidders list months ago and as I know it's not allowed to place bids under another eBay name when being on a block bidders list.
I don't know if it's allowed to mention the eBay User IDs here on the board. Someone need to let me know because I don't want that you are getting rip off by this person!

one question: why buy photos when there are an infinite number of free images on the internet?

I can't understand why people buy photos off of ebay. All of the images I've seen (except for the original photos, like the guy who bought and is now selling Judy Wong's collection), are photos that you can find in a million places on the web. Buy a decent photo printer (ours is great and it only cost $120) and print out any photo you want, high quality on high quality photo paper. No more worries about spending money on crappy reprints.

Did you try talking to the seller??...See if they would give you a refund??...Most of the ebay sellers selling Fleetwood Mac ans Stevie Nicks stuff are usually pretty good about that sort of thing in my own experience

Yeah, I feel the same way. Not that I don't feel sympathy for you who buy stuff from eBay, but I hear so many bad stories about people getting ripped off. The auction clearly stated if you did'nt agree to the terms of the auction then please do not bid, as well as it was only for U.S.A. bidders.Obviously someone didnt know how to read directions..The auction didn't state every photo was crystal clear.The auction contained a accurate scan of what was being offered. If you had questions about the clarity then the right thing to do was ask questions before bidding.Every photogapher will tell you that they don't have control of every situation in which a photo is being taken. A true fan of someone would want a photo whether it may be blurry or not. Not all great photos are crystal clear.Photos can capture emotion or feeling and be blurry and still mean somthing to people.You dont know the difference between pixelated and blurry..You are a very hateful and vendictive person. You are accusing me of selling copyrighted items, well you need to look in the mirror. You have your little website that states that you trade. Well the defintion of Profit is to gain! Whether you are selling or trading you are gaining ! In order to trade means your are copying something! It's really that simple! We have enough drama with getting through everyday life, I sure don't need it here to. It must be nice not to have a life and want to cause chaos for people. And to think this has blownup this big due to you wanting to tell someone how much shipping to charge. I have never intentionally taken money from anyone..I always try and email everyone when I get out of the hospital..Im not like people who take money for quilts and then dont make them..

As far as the Claiming to be somebody else,. I just wanted to see what kind of ugly things Melanie would invent..If anyone doesnt like what they buy on ebay, they should always try and reslove the issue with the seller first..If you cant get satisfaction then negative feedback is appropriate..

I share all the photos I have with the seven wonders people..I have NEVER downloaded a photo from anywhere on the web and sold it except twice..I accidently sold 2 that I didnt remember where I got them from..Someone from 7 wonders pm'd me and brought it to my attention..And the total of the 2 photos was all of $5....GET A LIFE

on your last auctions you had scans of photos that WERE sold as a polaroid, which ARE one of a kind~ they were originally sold by lovelyandold, i believe is how you spelled their ebay name~ i know so because i won some of them~ then a few months later, they were cropped to fit into a 4x6 & put up for auction this week~ also the photos you took from the ark seller, that went for huge bucks, before she water-marked them, you took those 2 & put them on for sale~

nobody here is picking on you because of your health, actually ledgies are quite sympathetic to others plights~ but it also shouldn't be used as an excuse~

melanie didn't lie about what she said & didn't really say anything until you got nasty~

you want to be mad at somebody, let it be me~ i am the one who called you out~ i remembered who you were & when you posted under your user name as if your weren't leanne, that is when i said something~

anyone who knows me on here, knows i am not a pot stirrer, i rarely get into peoples business, but when i see something done to a great person that has been done to me also by the same person, yeah i am going to chime in~

WOW Leanne.. by putting others down for their bad Ebay habits, is a way of making things right, i.e. the blanket situation??? Your ebay account had horrible feedbacks the last time I looked, which was several weeks back, when a friend brought that to my attention.. LOL- As for YOUR ebay seller tactics, from what I've been told by several very reliable and reputable people - who have been ebayers for YEARS, I've heard the very same thing, that it's not let's say (on the up and up) to be nice! ... You SOOOOO imploded yourself on this board..As for the people on THIS board being snobs... NO- it's that the people here are a LOT more knowledgeable and (on the average- older) than the "OTHER" board you are on- and don't "ALLOW" the mess that goes on - on your "OTHER" board to happen here! They are "ON-TO" a lot more over here!! And ... I'm still laughing about how you "ONLY DOWNLOADED STUFF OFF THE NET AND SOLD IT TWICE"... $5 or $500 does it matter? I'm not even going to get into it w/ anyone on this board, but it slays me every time crap like this gets posted, that people think it's ok to sell stuff they have purchased or downloaded over & over again.
I recently spent over $1700 on 4 Stevie photos. That financial burdon has set me SO far back, but omg, what a joy the photos are! Why on gods green earth would I want to share w/ anyone or on a board when I see that people take them and re-sell them? It's just as bad if I did it, but in a sense why shouldn't I be able too if I am the one that paid so much for it. (Like if whomever bought the polaroids or pics from Ark re-sold them...ONCE not in duplicate) Last year and prior, I sold a ton of SN pics, but guess what, I have the negs and transparencies, so it's legit.
I've tried selling off my HWW pics cause he's a horses ass, but what happens...he pulls my auctions, tells me they are not legit prints, yet there are 4x6's that are BLATANTLY NOT HOW THEY WERE CREATED left & right on Ebay for sale...no auctions pulled there.
I've said it before...all this pic selling is a tricky business. None of us have the right to be buying or selling, cause realistically none of us have Nicks' consent, but it happens. The best way to buy and sell it, is to do so w/ a conscience. That's just my opinion.
Those that kindly share on boards, in private or trades, I'd rather kick my dog than ruin that by taking those things and turning a profit...large or small.

$5 or $500 does it matter? I'm not even going to get into it w/ anyone on this board, but it slays me every time crap like this gets posted, that people think it's ok to sell stuff they have purchased or downloaded over & over again.
I recently spent over $1700 on 4 Stevie photos. That financial burdon has set me SO far back, but omg, what a joy the photos are! Why on gods green earth would I want to share w/ anyone or on a board when I see that people take them and re-sell them? It's just as bad if I did it, but in a sense why shouldn't I be able too if I am the one that paid so much for it. (Like if whomever bought the polaroids or pics from Ark re-sold them...ONCE not in duplicate) Last year and prior, I sold a ton of SN pics, but guess what, I have the negs and transparencies, so it's legit.
I've tried selling off my HWW pics cause he's a horses ass, but what happens...he pulls my auctions, tells me they are not legit prints, yet there are 4x6's that are BLATANTLY NOT HOW THEY WERE CREATED left & right on Ebay for sale...no auctions pulled there.

I do want to make it clear that I'm not trying to rile anyone up...it's just that I'd LOVE to share more than what I do (or did) on boards, but it's just such a hassle cause you have to worry about that sort of thing. And I'm also not targeting anyone here. All can voice their opinions. My 10 years or so on Ebay has taught me well enough who to avoid. I hit a few speed bumps here and again w/ buyers or sellers, but for the most part it's an amicable place to acquire things.
Whomever it was that said they got some of those polaroids, and are seeing them made into pics and re-sold...even though I'd give my eye-teeth for copies, rest assured, until you choose to re-sell those items...I ain't biddin'! ;)

I feel like an old Warner Bros. cartoon character...the guy who holds up a card that reads "SUCKER".

I bought multiple 4 x 6 photos from a *professional* photographer off of Ebay. They were of a Rumours concert from 1977. In all I spent over $200. on 12 photos and paid $5 shipping ON EACH. (Brown envelopes are really expensive these days.)

He had multiple excuses, multiple heath issues - multiple - nonsensical E-mails about the delays - and had multiple tales to tell about his days of following the bands, etc. etc.

Finally he sent the first group of photos...blurry...and what's worse...NOT THE PHOTOS HE LISTED IN THE AUCTION. To try and get his attention to stay focused (pun intended) and to send me the correct photos, became too much and I cut my losses. He sounded incoherent, and unstable in E-mails and it got creepy. I did receive one more shipment (again wrong photos) and 9 photos never arrived.

I didn't leave ANY feedback because to be real honest, I think that the guy was off his rocker...and can and would have had me stalked. He had my name and address and his son who liked to travel....

Long story short - I hate it when nice people (such as myself :D) get ripped off.

P.S. Hey Michelej1, the photo of Stevie, where she has "rabbititis" - [old Warner Bros. cartoon reference] - is incredible.

Whoever that is passing messages to Barbara, I was not refering to her in the quilt thing..I can see where somone might think that...There were alot of people all over the internet making quilts and cloths and not getting their stuff..You made problems with me and Barbara..You should let her know I quoted to the post..it was not directed at Barbara...

I have never intentionally taken money from anyone..I always try and email everyone when I get out of the hospital..Im not like people who take money for quilts and then dont make them..

As far as the Claiming to be somebody else,. I just wanted to see what kind of ugly things Melanie would invent..If anyone doesnt like what they buy on ebay, they should always try and reslove the issue with the seller first..If you cant get satisfaction then negative feedback is appropriate..
I did not know I was blocked from anyones auctions..I just wanted to give you NEGATIVE feedback that you didnt deserve like you did my husband..

I share all the photos I have with the seven wonders people..I have NEVER downloaded a photo from anywhere on the web and sold it except twice..I accidently sold 2 that I didnt remember where I got them from..Someone from 7 wonders pm'd me and brought it to my attention..And the total of the 2 photos was all of $5....GET A LIFE

hi leanne...the prob is that barb reads this board too hon...no one ratted on u and there are plenty of members that are on multiple boards...i think ur wrong when u say the ppl here are snobs bc they've never been to me...however we do stand up for one another and i would hope u can rectify any probs u have with ur customers and u'd be more than welcome to peacefully coexist with us...also i do know how i'll u are and sympathize...take care...pat
