Hurray! Thanks AliceLover for the info.!

I will take one hour over none on TV I guess.
I will buy the DVD anyway.

I just hope they edit the one hour to include the better songs.
Leave Enchanted and Crash out.

Fleetwood Mac's SoundStage is always played in 2, back-to-back one-hour segments on the Rave channel. In fact, they played it from 2-3 and 3-4 this afternoon. Nothing is edited.

I was at the Fleetwood Mac taping. They just filmed the whole concert, start-to-finish with only one interruption to change film (film if digital these days?). Anyway, Stevie's taping was over 4 1/2 hours. They must have chopped it to pieces in editing. Maybe we'll get the extras/bonus stuff on the discs.

It is also strange that the record company will put it on sale July 15th and start airing it the next day. A lot of semi-fans will just DVR it and eventually transfer to DVD. Didn't they learn their lesson airing Tusk over the radio so close to its release?

I was thinking for a while that this project would be one of those PBS Broadcasting fundraiser things where they would show clips, maybe interview Stevie and sell the CD and DVD in separate packages for memberships, donations, etc., then release to stores. It would be a great way to pump-up folks to go out and buy it. I don't think sales will be stellar. I hope for her they are, but ultimately, I think we the die-hards will buy the package.

Just my opinion...

Given that Stevie's scheduled for two consecutive Thursdays, I think it's safe to assume that her concert is being aired in two parts. Much like they did for Tom Petty, Heart, John Fogerty, Peter Frampton and others.

So I don't think we have to worry. :)

I forgot she did Sara. I love that she did essentially every song she had done in her live set over the past couple years for the taping. Im excited for Fall From Grace, How Still My Love,
If Anyone Falls, and Crash.

I don't like Crash, but because it's something different, I would like to have an official copy of it. So, I'll gladly take it on Soundstage, then, I would like her to never do it again.

However, she can keep Crash forever, if she would only get rid of Rock and Roll -- which she won't. So I have only the dream and that too will fade, as the world calls me away.

She did Fall From Grace? cool. Its actually not in my top favorites, cause i like stevie's moody or darker, or slower songs ala "How Still My Love" (wich I LOVED on this tour for the little ad libs and strut off the stage alone) But all my non-stevie-obsessed friends LOVE Fall From Grace, cause its a rockin song. so Im totally glad its on there, cause im gonna have a "screening get together" for sure!

That's how I feel. I don't like it for me, but I enjoy the versatility it adds to the setlist and the different side of Stevie it shows to others. So, I'm always glad to have it included. Michele

really, I don't care wen it's on TV or how many parts it is, as long as every song she performed is on the DVD.

Stevie Nicks - Part 1 (#1510H)
Duration: 56:46 Stereo TVPG

This episode captures a radiant Stevie Nicks in her first filmed solo performance since 1987. Clad in high heels and lace, Stevie boldly jumpstarts the night with "Stand Back." Don't miss a second as she performs songs from her comprehensive career retrospective album, Crystal Visions. Throughout the evening, Stevie elegantly showcases her vocal abilities on "Fall From Grace," and follows a stunning performance of "How Still My Love" with a cover of Dave Matthews Band's "Crash" interpreted through the eyes of a woman. Stevie also beautifully performs "Sara," a song rarely performed without Fleetwood Mac, before finishing up the hour with an amazing cover of Led Zeppelin's "Rock and Roll."

Stevie Nicks - Part 2 (#1511H)
Duration: 56:46 Stereo TVPG

Stevie Nicks knows how to put on a show. Part Two of this theatrical evening continues with a perfect mix of favorites like "Landslide" and "Gold Dust Woman" that will leave you yearning for more. During this intimate show, Stevie shares poignant personal memories and the origins of her songs. In long, dripping sleeves and trademark shawl, she breaks into her signature slow twirls, exuding a sensuous stage presence. The hour starts off with a riveting version of "Rhiannon" and ends with an epic rendition of "Edge of Seventeen." If that's not enough, Vanessa Carlton joins Stevie on stage for a special duet of Bonnie Raitt's "Circle Dance," as well as "The One," a cut from Vanessa's latest album. Tune in to watch one of the most prolific and influential women in rock music history at her best!

One of the most prolific and influential, yet she performs four (4) covers instead of selecting from her own catalogue.

I'll pass.

Maybe you should just forfeit your fandom because it doesn't appear that you were that much of a fan to begin with.

Yup, you got me pegged exactly. Absolutely never ever a fan of Stevie Nicks at all. In fact, you can't be a fan of Stevie if you don't adore somniloquous collaborations with Vanessa Carlton and covers of Dave Matthews and Bonnie Raitt songs. Everybody knows that but me, apparently! :xoxo:

My thoughts exactly! Of course I will buy it but for someone with SO many wonderful songs, why do 4 covers? It kills me:(:(:(:(

hey guys...i've ask myself this question over and over...not only with stevie but many other artists like heart and even madonna do covers...its FUN...its showing u can sing someone elses songs and have fun...much like karaoke for an artist...it also shows she can do other songs than the deep, sad, mystical and poignantly dreamy songs that stevie writes and records...that's to me the reason she does these covers...also covering dave matthews song crash may be a reach to the younger crowd who knows his songs and its a way to connect with them too...take care...pat
