I love this song and it just gets better and better as time goes by. It is also one of those songs that I store away for long periods of time then dig it out and rediscover it all over again and realize what a fabulous song it really is.
The last "love" that she sings at the end is filled with so much conviction and depth to it.

Love it! Love it! My favorite lyric was always "I know you know watching you go is like dying". I also really loved the live version from Boston also. Probably one of the best songs written specifically for a motion picture that was barely even heard!

Could someone please post the one from Boston. I have a few but don't think I've ever heard that one. I love the long intro they would do for it live. :)

"Twisted" is actually my favorite song from Stevie. The lyrics really spoke to me at the time. Also, being that I wasn't that knocked out by Street Angel, Stevie sounded rejuvenated on Twisted and I was thrilled she seemed to be getting back to the Stevie that I loved.

Watching 'Twisted' go was like dying :(
[paraphraising paleshadow's fave lyric!]
I really love the 'crying out for love' at the end when they really rip into it. AMAZING!

Thanks a lot, I had never heard this version before. It's beautiful and the end is fantastic, but the arrangement doesn't convince me much. Besides, the version with Lindsey is really a work of art for me, I don't understand why they never performed it live... or they have and I don't know about it?

Especially once Christine left. Their set could have benefitted greatly from such a duet. But even IDWTK would have worked well during the SYW tour too. Oh well, maybe someday there will be a Buckingham Nicks tour to promote the release of the BN cd and then they'll knock us out with all the songs they've been neglecting.

I've never actually heard the official Twisted Soundtract version. I've only heard the Enchanted Demo and the live versions, with Boston 96 being my favorite.

I like the live version of it from St. Petersburg Pier in 1996 the best. It's essentially the same arrangement (Carlos Rios rearranged the song as a galloping rhythm guitar ballad in a Doobie Brothers style) as later performances in Boston & Ohio & on the Enchanted tour, but I think Stevie's vocal is more committed on this Florida gig, the first time out.
