It's probably just because they figure everyone is going to be away on 4th of July vacation so they won't run out and buy it, and they don't want it to chart too low in it's first week out.

Pre-order materials - for retail - weren't delivered in time, so it didn't make the pre-book catalog. They could pre-sell to retailers with a blow-in, but chose not to. Soundstage is not even represented on the WHVdirect.com retailer/promotional/press site, which means the release is a low priority.

Well, I guess I can wait an extra 15 days and yeah I guess it might have been moved for the reasons stated above. (especially if it means, it will sell/chart better).
The way I look at it, we have been waiting years for this, so 15 extra days won't hurt.
I still wonder when it will air on PBS though, you would think it would air in late June, to get the interest up for the release.

This should come as no surprise to anyone. Ever since the "Street Angel" album was released there has ALWAYS been some sort of delay with Stevie's material getting released. "Street Angel" had a ton a different release dates before it finally saw the light of day.

Actually this waiting, delay game began with the Tusk album.

I can't wait for this to come out, whenever it is. I absolutely love my Stevie Mac concert DVD's, so this will make a nice addition. Also, it'll be great because it is a bit more current than red rocks~

Yes, I remember that. I used to call the local (Dutch) recordcompany every week with the question when the CD was due to be released...finally I found it bu accident 4 weeks prior to the release under the 'N' in a recordstore I came often back then. Due to a shipping error of the Cd-plant one item ended up there, waiting to be found by me...It was the days long before the www and I taped and tapes dozens of copies for my Friends of Affairs of the Heart (the fanzine).
There is a dutch saying: 'Van uitstel komt afstel', which means something like: Postphoning will lead to nothing at all', so I do not hope that this will be the case here...I just know that this DVD will be released overhere, I ran into Lindsey's soundstage a couple of months ago, so Stevies should be no problemo...

hi...i have heard thru either here or 7 that a couple of songs may have been cut just due to the length of the show...i think vanessa's was mentioned...also stevie did go back and redo some vocals...that was a couple of months ago...anyway none of us will know for sure until we get the dvd/cd of soundstage...take care...pat

Let's all pray there are no re-shot video close-ups, a la Red Rocks.
