WELCOME TO THE LEDGE, LITTLEDARLING88!

I see that this is your first post!

I need to listen to the Landslides posted above, but I would have to agree with Liam that the one on the FM LIVE album is my favorite.

Stevie is obviously losing her voice and can't sing but in a whisper at some parts, but belts out "Children a gettin' older" and I have always loved how she changed that line. If you don't have this version PM me.

i have long been partial to the version circa 'Timespace' era that had a different ending before the very ending
'take this love, take it, if you climb a mountain, i hope you make it'---
('and if you see my reflection...)

to me, the 'i hope you make it' added another layer of poignancy to the song that i miss since she took it out, what 15 years ago or more, now?
(i also liked how her voice sounded on 'take it, make it' as opposed to 'down'-- i just thought it made the song better. Guess she didnt think so.

Got the song? I'd love to hear it. My Stevie library isn't as extensive as most Ledgies...

Goldustwoman, i am pretty sure i have this exact version of Landslide on a cassette a friend mailed me, and i die laughing every time i play it cuz at the end of Landslide, there's a guy in the audience singing along, and a VERY exasperated girl repeatedly says 'shut up' 'shut up' then finally a quite LOUD 'shut UP!!'
For the rest of the summer, every stevie tape or cdr that i would make for the car , or for friends, i'd dub that girl's voice in, while Stevie is talking ''Welcome everybody" ('shut up') or any comment Stevie would make between songs, i.e. "If you ever feel like you don't matter, to me, you are ALL that matters" followed by the irritated girl's "shut up...shut up... shut UP!" and it just made us all laugh a lot.
ahh, memories :)

anyone else think it sounds like the girl could be tellin Stevie to shut up?? (She isn't, i know). I'll shut up now and go listen to the actual singing but i know i'm gonna lose it when the 'shut up's start again...

I love it when she says that too.... I love this one where she's singing with Lindsey on the last Tango in the night show i believe.
I think that line was for him and for all of us ofcourse.

The comments during that whole show are funny. At one point the girl and guy start arguing. They sound a little drunk.
I never thought about dubbing in the shut up. That's funny.
Also, my Bonner Springs CD has a partial recording of Kansas City from the Street Angel Tour. I wish I had traded for the whole thing now.

Fleetwood Mac
The Warehouse, New Orleans

Taper: Freezer

Landslide - There are lots of screams of "sit down".
I hope they weren't yelling at Stevie....it must have been unnerving...but our girl kept on singing...bless her heart. (And where are those rude, neanderthals-masqueraing-as-an-audience people today?)

This is labeled Passaic 1975 -- To me, this is the best because her voice soars without regret or hesitation, almost like you are dreaming when you hear it.

For the record - the whole concert was fab. Sadly, I no longer have the whole thing.

Here is Rhiannon:

Again, sublime!

The water is Jersey in 1975 must have been filled with something good

Thanks to all the other posts!

I've always liked Landslide at Detroit's Joe Louis Arena on Sept. 18 or 19, 1982. On the second time through the chorus, Stevie sings "I'm still afraid of" but doesn't ascend; she repeats the notes (it's a second). It's one of those little Stevie things that we used to fixate on.

The whole Joe Louis show was excellent.
