Ahhhh my two favorite singers in the world!! I was sooo sooo bummed when they canceled the "leather 'n lace" tour concert in Milwaukee, WI a few years ago!! I just wanted to cry because I would have been there!!! :( Those are great pics though!!

great pictures thanks for sharing them.
I saw them together when they were in Philly. He seemed so uptight. I took pictures only they were from a distance & not this good.
Thanks for posting them.

He always looks like a pissed off Cartman to me.
Especially those times when he was wearing his winter coat on stage and it wasn't even a fashionable winter coat. He looked like he was going hunting.
However, there are few concert moments most exciting than when Stevie strolled onto the stage for her Hotel Californiaentrance. I can still remember the chills I got as the crowd reacted to seeing her. Michele

The Philly bootleg is a good one - the crowd SCREAMS when she enters the stage.

Im not sure if I have heard that one yet. Im pretty sure all those shows were recorded on audio at least. I know Opening Night, Jones Beach, and Hershey Park were taped. Im at College, I should have brought one of those boots with me.

I'm sure the crowd screamed everywhere. ;) But I do remember the Philly one being particularly good quality.

I was at the show in Hershey. I had second row center, and it was the first time I got to shake Stevie's hand. I would LOVE to hear this concert. Can anyone post the boot to download??

Remember how bonkers we went?

Did you really see that or are you having fun? I got Pack Up The Plantation, but I actually didn't attend any Petty shows in 1985 and I would have loved to see them perform Needles and Pins live.
With Don, I knew what was coming, because I'd read the fan reviews before I saw them in Michigan. I can't even think about what it would have felt like if she had appeared during that song as a surprise. My goodness.
I can tell you when Lindsey showed up at the first Behind The Mask show I was so depressed. A friend from San Francisco called and told me that he had made an appearance in Oakland. I could have easily flown up there, but I didn't see the point. I thought he and the band were estranged, based on Mick's recent book.
Never in my wildest dreams did I think he would be there. Although, in retrospect, seeing as how his brother had just passed away, I am not surprised that he and FM had been in contact. When I heard he appeared at the show, I was not only in tears, but sick to my stomach miserable about having missed him.
I had tickets for Los Angeles at the Forum the next day, so I went with a very heavy heart. Well, to my surprise and joy he showed up again. I was absolutely beyond elated. The interaction between him and Stevie was painfully tense. So, it was awkward and somewhat bruising to watch that and it ruined the end of GYOW, but her earlier words to him still get to me and the interaction between him, Mick, Christine and even John was breathtaking to see at a time when I never thought I'd see them all together again.
Obviously, a top 5 musical moment of all time.

It wasn't a surprise (Stevie was billed to show) but it was a blast of energy. She sang Stop Dragging & Don't Bring Me Down with the Heartbreakers, & then Stand Back solo & then Leather & Lace with Henley. She & Petty only did Needles & Pins in 1981.
I can tell you when Lindsey showed up at the first Behind The Mask show I was so depressed. A friend from San Francisco called and told me that he had made an appearance in Oakland.I thought that show sucked. The band pretty well sucked at that time. They had no energy or spontaneity; they were packaged like cream cheese & they performed with no believability or sincerity. It was like a Rick Springfield act. Lindsey's appearance was a surprise, yes, but he appeared more alienated from the rest of them than ever. I thought the whole night was embarrassing. I just wanted to get the hell out of there. I dropped out of Fleetwood Macism right after that.

I remember when Stevie walked on stage during Hotel California, and she sounded so good doing those songs with Don. Also, I love the white shawl she wore- is this older, and has she worn it lately?

I took those photos. :) They're from the show in Chicago. That tour blog is part of our larger Eagles website.
My favorite part of the show was Gold Dust Woman. I've always loved the song, but Don singing on it it....wow!! Stevie really livened up Don's songs too. She was great on Last Worthless Evening and Hotel California.

It was really hard to get good shots because Don Henley didn't allow flashes. That's why they're blurry...sorry about that.

Ah, Alicia, you always take the best photos! :: jealous :: I didn't get one good shot from the Don/Stevie Chicago show I went to. Bad angle and all that. It was still a blast. I agree that Gold Dust Woman was amazing. Don can stage-dance better than Lindsey, that's for sure, if the Tusk "dance" is anything to judge by. Don waltzes, Lindsey gropes. ;)

You're more than welcome  I think I posted them a long time ago right after the concert. I usually post some of mine here right after the shows--I didn't post any from the last Stevie show I went to though because people were complaining about the watermarks so I didn't even bother. And they were some of the best pics I ever took!! ha ha Maybe I'll post some later for the heck of it since things are kind of quiet right now.......
