and it is so good to see her in some color. She has black on underneath that duster but she looks great in something new.

I think it's hugely to her credit that many of these pictures are not appearing on Nicksfix. Don't get me wrong - I don't think there would be anything wrong with that - but the fact that they're not, in my mind at least, shows that she's not doing this for publicity purposes, and that her heart's totally in the right place.
WAY to go, Stevie! :D

I LOVE HER!!

I would have never guessed.

Thanks for posting this J. You have to hand it to her really. From what we read and see, it always seems like she is involved in some project ("doing something with some band") so it's really great that she visits the wounded troops on top of it all.

Not that it matters, but she looks fantastic in this picture. Her hands look better then they do in that old pic that Michelle posted in the "Steviest" thread.

I have such a profound respect for her for this. I love that she goes there with no opinion expressed other than to try to brighten these bravest of the brave's day. Who among us could go there and not express an opinion on the war - either way? Yet, she says she does not because the soldiers truly feel as if they are making a difference there and they would go back once healed if they could.

To me, that is one of the braver things I have seen in my 40 years.

I agree. The respect that I have for our soldiers, who fight without regard to their own safety truely touches me. Makes me want to cry really.........
