You all know I am friends with Herbert Worthington..Barbara is too..While looking thru legde stuff I remember a post where alot of people said they would like to buy prints from Herbert. I wanted to ask a favor..Herbert called today and said he was working on some prints for ebay..3 sets of 2 prints for about $12 dollars each..If you buy 2 sets you can get one free..Could you all let me know what kind of prints you would like to buy from Herbert...Which photos, size of photos, what kind of price you would pay,What posters??..Would they just like the prints or prints that he autographs??..Black and White or color prints??..A specific era??..He is also talking about doing another calender for Christmas..I really would like stuff I havent seen before which is what I told him myself...He rally wants to put out stuff the fans want and will buy..All the input would be great..Good and bad..He can offer this poster autographed for $125..Is anyone interested??

mmmmmm, Bella Donna!!!!
(Especially photos of Stevie in more casual moments - not really working or singing, but just chilling, hanging out, maybe drawing off in a corner somewhere. What would be really great i.m.o. is photos that haven't really been circulated before - stuff we've NEVER seen.)
Personally I'm much more partial to color photos than to b&w; but I know that some people like them and consider them to be "artsy."

Perhaps one of the photo sets should be black and white and the other color? That way people get a choice of what they prefer. As for the photos, I'm partial to candid pics, but that's just me. I also really love Wild Heart era live pics.

I would be interested in any photos that he would be willing to offer. I do like when he is willing to autograph them, too! (That's my poster in the photo ;) ) I would be happy with B&W as well as color prints. I love ALL of his work!
I do have a question...do you think he would consider selling them through his website in addition to eBay?

I can't stress enough how much a coffee table type book is wanted/needed. as much as the calendars are nice and all, I wish he'd focus his attention on a much larger project that offers a huge collection of his photographs and maybe a foreword by Stevie. I mean, I know something like that would instantly become a collectible and sell very well.

Im not sure about the website thing...I will ask him..I know with ebay he is putting buy it nows on stuff so there wont be a bidding war..That is what he is doing with the calenders..I LOVE YOUR POSTER..I think I right clicked that from 7 wonders a while ago..I told him I wanted one of those myself..Somepeople like the autographing thing and some dont..YOu know the ebay thing..He sent me a calender and he autographed mine..

Tell Herbert we remember him mentioning it (25 years ago), which is why it comes up nearly every time his name is mentioned.
The only thing I'll definitely buy is the book. And I just don't want finished pictures - I want candids and contact sheets and most importantly stories about the photoshoots and anything else Stevie won't sue him for.
I'll consider other things as they're offered, but knowing that he has literally thousands of shots just wasting in a file cabinet really makes me crazy. How about book first, and afterwards posters etc of the most popular shots included within?

Well, I know this may not go over well with Herbie or other fans because they are not technically photos/prints, but would love products with one of Herbie's pictures on it of Stevie. Like a throw, t-shirt, mug, or a Christmas ornament, Stevie car window decals... oh the marketing ideas are endless, but I have a feeling that Herbie nor Stevie want to go in that direction. :distress: Sad really because what better way to get her image and name out there. I mean there have been Grateful Dead car window stickers and KISS merchandise, etc..., but oh well.
I am not sure what Stevie has planned for her Soldiers for iPods charity, but what a wonderful way to raise money for this wonderful cause. Part of the proceeds would go to the charity for the sales of Herbie's photos.
Color photos are preferred. I would love a photo that is not only autographed by Herbie, but Stevie also. I love the Wild Heart Era, more candid shots of the "casual" Stevie, or if they are posed, the dramatic movie star poses (pouts) that is just so Stevie. Or... actually the silly side of Stevie.
What era does Herbie not have? I guess that would be good to know.
A wonderful blur free full blown twirl in concert would be FABULOUS.
I also like the Time Space era too.
I also like the poster of Stevie in space. (how appropriate  :wavey: ) ha, ha, just kidding. Seriously, I have always like the idea of Stevie in space against a gorgeous colorful nebula or Milky Way, or something.
Sorry for all the rambling, the possibilities are endless.
Edit: Oh yes, how could I forget the coffee table book. Dramatic Stevie, Silly Stevie, Stevie in concert, Candid shots, outtakes, forward by Stevie, maybe a small sample from her journal that we have never seen before. I would buy that in a heartbeat. Add a real autograph by Herbie and hopefully Stevie (limited edition) and I will scoop that up faster than a Stand Back twirl. : )

I heard he had to sign over the rights to certain photos because he owed her alot of money awhile back. That is when she got all the Rumours photos.
I have always wanted a coffee table book and want it to include lots of candid photos, stories, notes, poetry from Stevie, doodles or drawings by Stevie. Actually I guess i want Stevie to do a coffee table book, too. lol
I would buy a coffee table book from HWW in two seconds flat if it included lots of never before seen photos, both color and black and white. I prefer candids and live shots and am partial to the Belladonna and Mirage era.

judging from the responses and the results of the poll, I rest my case with respect to the coffee table book.
with respect to the tshirts and things, I think that's also a great idea. I'd really like a way to display for adoration in various ways...mugs, huggies, etc. but what in the hell is up with all these babydoll tshirts. not many people over the age of 16 actually wear those, plus there are a lot of fans of the male element that wouldn't wear them in everyday life. we need some sleek, cool tshirts to sport.

I wish I did. All the tees he commissioned were "baby doll" style.
They are really pretty, and I measured all of them, since they run a bit small, so you could get a perfect fit :)
And only $29.99 till we sell them all out, then there will be no more.

a coffee table book (long overdue) *must have* - outtakes from tusk, bd, wh, mirage - prints (color -or- b&w) for $12 buy 2 get 1 free *sounds sweet to me* - if he does do eBay he can use the 'buy it now' feature (maybe open up a store front) he'd get a ton of business from just me alone!

Yea...He told me about the baby doll shirts and I told him I wasnt baby doll size..he needed regular t shirt too..
Here is another thing and I really want everyones opinion..Barbara you especially..This is kinda important I think too..For ebay, people will need to know they are buying right from Herbert himself..I think people will be more receptive if they know they are buying original new prints and not second hand..BUT..My husband brought to my attention that that would draw TONS of email from people wanting to be in contact with a celebrity..And Herbert doesnt like to type too much..That is why we talk on the phone more..What do you all think???

then eBay probably isn't the best route for him. eBay is built around communication between seller and buyer...if he's going to go the eBay route he needs to expect to have to be in communication with buyers...that's a given. why not sell stuff off an official website with someone (not Herbie) in charge of responding to correspondence? another thing he may want to think about, if he goes the official site route, is posting an FAQ. that would answer a lot of questions and cut down on the emails.

The one thing about Ebay is EVERYBODY knows about it...It is world wide and advertised..If someone hasnt heard abut ebay thet have been living under a rock..Not eveyone knows about The Ledge and 7wonders and even the Nicksfix..

Now I dont know this for sure but I am speculating that if he partners with Stevie then he would have to share in the profits..

You are asking what we would want to buy from Herbert Worthington and you and others mention you are friends of his. Why don't you ask him if he has any interest in buying The Penguin, then he could use this site to sell his promotional items? At least he has an interest in the fans of this website, if not the website itself. Even if he couldn't run it, he could probably find someone that could. And IMAGINE the pictures he could display here!

For him to own The Penguin, even if he didn't run it (perhaps you could, or someone you know), it could be a great investment for him. If you look around on just this board a lot of people seem to be using this site to promote their ware. He could even charge people to put their links on this site.

A scrapbook, in the style of The Beatles Anthology or U2 By U2.
Not gonna happen, though.

Hi everyone: All the ideas for Herbie are great!! I couldn't make up my mind so I voted for all the items above. Most wanted is a beautiful coffee table book. I prefer color pictures to b & w but than yet some b & w's a pretty or Stevie's hand tinted pictures too would be nice. I like that b & w poster I saw pictured but not sure myself at $125.00 price unless it's signed by him and Stevie. I would also love pictures signed by him and Stevie. I think it would make it very special. They should also be able to be purchased unsigned as well.
There is so many things he could sell. I to would prefer 'regular' t-shirts to the 'baby' doll style. Unfortunately, not all of us can fit into those small styles really. I so love the black shirt but I'm kinda afraid it won't fit me at all really....Mugs/outtake posters.....I bought a calender from him but no email from him. Was I suppose to get an email? I should be on his list than right? I'm worried now. Eras...wow...well since we can't get Rumours outtakes....at least whatever we can get would be great. I would/wish I could see all of them....Tusk etc....Stevie solo esp Bella Donna and Wild Heart outtakes would be my favorites.....esp wonderful color pictures not ever ever seen before. I know theres tons from the Blue Lamp sessions that I would LOVE to see....candids are cool and live photos too. Did Herbie take alot of live photos? Unusally I see other photograhers for the live shots but whatever he did I'd love to see them. All eras would love to see but solo def. BD/WH for me. The sets for ebay sound great. 11 x 14 is a nice size. If he doesn't want to go the poster size yet or a little larger. 16 x 20 etc. Than maybe he can offer sets of 8 x 10's etc.? I hope color pictures. I'd love to see whatever Herbie has....You both are lucky to be able to talk to him. The calender for Chrsitmas sounds great too. I wonder if there are any Christmas pictures (candids?) he could put in there? Can't wait to see them Herbie....awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D  :]

Hi Sue!
You will get the eMail once Herbie has selected the pics for the photo sets, will probably be a selection of B/W and Colour great photos. He told me about one, that just sounds phenomenal, I hope he chooses it, she is pointing, and I always love those "witchy" style ones!
Hope you are doing great this HOT weekend!

Actually I was selling a couple of 4x6 photos on Ebay that were his..So this guy started emailing me saying he was Herbert Worthington and I was selling his copyrighted material..I yelled back, called him a liar and a KOOK..Told him to leave me alone and not to bother me again..( I didnt believe he was who he said he was)..I thought he was just a kook playing games..But he had the photos kicked off ebay and I emailed Barbara and asked her if the email address he was emailing me form was real..And she confirmed it was..So I started thinking OOOOOOOOOOOOOPS..I think I screwed up..So I emailed him back and apologized..He just liked me cuz I fussed back at him and didnt take no bull..And we have been friends ever since..He is a wonderful friend and a great guy..Very friendly
