Jimmy Iovine was such a revolutionary producer for his time, and he continues to oversee artists at his position of founder of Interscope Records. Do you all think Timbaland is the next Jimmy Iovine (if you know anything about Timbaland that is) and do you think Stevie should work with Tim if she does a new album?

SASS!
Thats a fucking fabulous combo...if only it would happen.
Jack White did SUCH a great job on the Grammy winning Loretta Lynn release...just imagine what he could do for Stevie?

... and I want Rupert Hine to produce her again. It could be the album of her career if left in his hands.

I don't think of Timbaland as the next Iovine(?), though Timbaland is a genius. I do think Stevie should definately work with him either as a solo artist or as a member of the Mac -- Timba wants to work with more rock outfits (the rock tracks on the exhilarating Shock Value SOUND superb).

I think Glen Ballard (jagged little pill, and soon to be annie lennox's new album) would be a very interesting match with stevie to be the producer of her next album.

Well remember the Pet Shop Boys want to work with her. That would be ideal.

I certainly hope that doesn't happen. So generic. I want someone like David Bowie to produce Stevie!

I'd be all for that if Alanis Morissette wasn't one of the worlds greatest atrocities to music.

That would be awesome. But if David Bowie, why not Sting.

I can see the Jimmy/ Timbaland connection in terms of discovering/creating a new sound, but there's a few monumental differences. Jimmy never sought to make his own album, sure it could be argued that he didn't have any vocal talents, but does Timbaland? Also the Scott Storch thing has kind of left me cold towards T as a person. Jimmy's artists boast about him in music, he doesn't feel the need to do it himself.
