Neal Preston is my ABSOLUTE favorite Stevie photogropher. Of course we all love Worthington, I don't think many of his photo's compare to the ones Neal's taken. Maybe I just feel that way because I've always prefered Live shots. :shrug:

Thank you for posting that, it was a fun read. I like how he says that pic of Stevie with the glasses is the most like her.
Back in 1982, that would have been a surprise to her fans because she hardly ever spoke onstage, and certainly was cultivating her image in that serious mode.
Christine mentioned once that she had a tremendous sense of humor, but I think most of that was just behind the scenes. And I have to say I loved the CV DVD when her sense of humour was really evident. Stevie would be a fun person to hang with!!

It is likely both magazines use the same photog source. My pictures were often taken by a freelance who quasi worked for about 10 different agencies/companies. So, maybe that is it. But, they were in Rolling Stone as well, I think.

The second picture was indeed used in People magazine. The date given of 1982 is wrong because the article it accompanied is from 1981.

So that explains this strange rooftop picture. It was part of this group. Before I read Neal's comments, I think I just assumed Stevie was standing right on the beach.

Now we just need an explanation for that strange picture of Stevie standing in that steep-incline railway car, if you know which one I am talking about.

Has anyone seen the two unreleased videos for Edge Of Seventeen? Very cheesy cheap production, mostly of her (with Laurie and Sharon) badly lip-synching the song against a simple black background. But the best part in one of the versions is a little snippit at the end. It shows Stevie walking along the beach, with the ocean right there, in her classic black "witch" dress. It's so incongruous yet stunning.

yes. I think I have about 7 versions of that video.

my favorite is the one that starts with her speaking "and the days go by..." and then she looks up from inside the picture frame (lol...80s) and starts singing. and I love when she runs down the stairs and Chris shakes her...but yeah, that last scene is the best.

speaking of edge of 17-does anyone have just an audio of the edge stevie had on her crystal visions dvd? (the one where she's dancing) it think it's an early demo, but I loved it.
