So how, in your opinion is this tour doing for stevie. How full are the venues stuff like that? I Have heard that they are for the most part sold-out or close too. Oklahoma City had somewhere around 9,000+ people and I think I heard it was sold out. How sbout your guys shows?

Dallas was no where near sold-out. In fact it was the least-attended Stevie/FM show I've ever been to. Like Livia said the lawn was only about 20% full and both the left and right back reserved sections were completely empty. I was really disappointed but Stevie didn't seem to mind...she rocked like I've never seen.

The Event Center at The Turning Stone Casino is pretty new. Capacity is only 5000. Stevie's show is pretty much sold out. Just a few rows left. Some other big names coming there this summer include Reba McEntire, Alan Jackson, Mary J Blige & ZZ Top. The bitches charge an arm & a leg for a hotel room, and it's out in the middle of no-where.
But it's only an hour and a half from me and I cannot wait!! :D

Not really. It depends on the market. Also the day of the week play a huge roll in attendance. Weekday shows (except Friday) generally do not sell to capacity, unless you're a hot, hot act (Killers, Celine Dion, Shakira, Madonna).

Actually, that's different because some Stevie weekday shows do sell well because for example, people do not want to drive out to Jones Beach on a Friday/Saturday night, so the Wednesday show works for a lot of people. Traffic plays a vital role:D

These numbers are not bad at all for an artist who just released a greatest hits packaage (as opposed to an entirely new album with new single). Add to that her age and the age of her fan base and I'd say if she could sell out half thse shows on her tour and then sell at least 50% of others, then she is doing pretty damn well. She might not be grossing what FM did in say 1997--or even 2003--but she's still going strong. God bless her.

Ouch! That's a pretty low draw in such a big city. I think Coors is actually a 20,000 seat place.
One thing I think would help would be for Stevie's managment to scale back on the size of the venues she's performing in.
Last time she played Dallas she did Nokia and sold it out. I think it's in the 5,000 seat range.
That way she has a better chance of selling out, and not have to face all those empty seats.
Same with San Diego. She could have played San Diego State's Open Air Amphitheater and had close to a sell out. It's sad to see her not have a huge draw everywhere she plays.

What an odd, random choice of "hot, hot acts", considering the Killers are bombing pretty much everywhere they go, and Celine, Shakira, and Madonna aren't touring.
And the market has as much to do with the ticket sales as does the day of the week, by the way. $200-$300K gross is what should be expected from Stevie from this point onward in Stevie's career.

Celine played six nights a week for YEARS! She sold out the vast majority of those shows. No one could sell out a venue every single night for five years straight but Celine sure came close. Stevie didn't sell out her four night run.
I would be pretty shocked if Madonna did not have a much higher grossing tour compared to La Nicks.

I'm glad Stevie's shows are selling well....I felt SO bad for Fleetwood Mac toward the end of their tour a few years ago when my friend and I went to a Coors Amphitheater performance....there were TONS of open seats...everywhere. THe grass was only sprinkled with people; the band clearly noticed. Lindsey appeared to be looking around the most while Stevie just stared into space......though they all seemed to merely go through the motions as the end of their tour was quickly approaching. I think they were all burned out, but regardless, I think it bothered them that so few people attended. I personally think part of the reason why few people were in attendance was because they did so many Southern California dates and most fans had already seen them at least once by the time they hit Coors again ...... outrageous ticket prices didn't exactly help either.

was over 10,000 for the OKC show (I did my usual glance back towards the audience in the general admission seating and I was very surprised to see that many people due to the threat of weather).
I think she did very well in OKC due to the fact it had been 21 years since her last solo OKC show, plus it is an easy drive for those arriving from Tulsa, Wichita & Dallas.

since I cancelled my subscription that day since those a-holes double charged my bank acct., thus pissing away money I had saved to use for gasoline/beverages/etc..

The shows in Holmdel and Camden sold very well. Not sold out but over 3/4 full. Atlantic City says sold out on the Borgata website, although now I see people are pulling up good seats. IMO, the venue should offer those better seats to the people who got shitty ones in the first 5 minutes after they went on sale.

The lawn was almost totally empty.......which was a shocker for me. The 200 section also was sparse. During the Enchanted tour, the lawn was packed....completely packed. I agree, there is no way the Tweeter was 3/4. I think even 2/3 is generous. I was still pulling up Pit seats when the tickets went offline Friday afternoon.

we had several pairs of tickets in the lawn and the 200 level and could not give them out to listeners yesterday morning/afternoon. we gave away two pairs of front row but apart from that, no one was interested.
last night was a bad night for a concert -- high school graduations in south jersey and the philadelphia area.

Mansfield Show sales sucked,I love to see the Livenation sales reciept on that show. the people with lawn seats were upgraded to reserved seats. I ugraded from sec 5 to sec 2 dead center right in front of Stevie.I hope this does not make her not to come back to the Tweeter. Also I heard rumours the parent company of this and the other two Tweeters is in trouble.

I really think there are multiple factors involved here which may explain why attendance was sparse:
-Tickets were too expensive.
-Tickemaster fees are even more ridiculously high.
-Parking (in Camden in anyway) was excessively expensive.
-No new songs to tour behind and no media buzz.
-Same tired old setlist.
In a nutshell, I think Stevie and her concert promoters are squarely to blame. But I think the concert venues are not exactly helping matters by making everything prohibitively expensive. I remember for the RAL tour just over 20 years ago, you could buy a ticket, park, have a snack or two and not spend $25. The same experience today is close to $175-200. I don't think average incomes increased by 900% over the past 21 years. Just insane! Concerts are no longer spur-of-the-moment, spontaneous events. Nowadays you have to plan months in advance, save chunks of your paycheck, or be in credit card debt for months/years. It is ironic that Stevie has been on this "save the music" kick recently, yet she is leading the pack in perpetuating this notion that live music is only for rich people with her $100+ ticket prices. Making music so prohibitively expensive only means that people will not take risks with their music listening habits, and therefore will only stick to the tried-and-true. People will not check out new music (including those not familiar with la Nicks) if the financial hurdle is too high.

Yeah $125 plus those wopping tm fees really suck.We have a shed here in connecticut, called the Dodge Theater. I've seen Stevie/FM and some country shows there. The parking sucks in a way of security because my car was robbed
at a country music fest in 1998, The day after I got back from Stevies Enchanted show in Camden.I've had no time to clean the car out from thr night before.Ohh thank god the a$$hole did not get my camera.I had it with me at the countryfest, but he got away with taking my camera flash and toll money.I only go to that place less I have too.

I saw Stevie in 1998 at the Meadows (now, the Dodge Theatre) in Ct....opening night and one of her best shows...I was in the third row and I remember turning around and there were alot of empty seats in upper sections which I felt was sad to see. I saw her again in 2001 but this time at the Tweeter in Mansfield and I was in the rafters....the place was packed, definitely sold out. So I guess, it can depend on the day of the week the show is on and so forth. I will be seeing Stevie at the Mohegan this time around and I would have loved to have seen her up at Tweeter in Mansfield but I decided not to do so because it would cost me a train ticket on top of a rather high priced ticket ( $125.00 compared to Mohegan's $75.00 tag) so I decided to stay closer to home and go for the Issak-free, and $50.00 less show (hey, that's a tour shirt in my pocket now!) Yeah, money was a main factor in my plans as I am sure it is in other fans who have decided to bow out or weigh out the better deal. Just hope she puts a little more in...a different song as a surprise or a couple of extra songs....I am really wishing here as we know pigs don't fly! She will keep it same and safe. I still look forward to the show and its incredible atmosphere.

Chicago on June 8th did NOT sell out and was probably about 90% full, 50 % when Chris Isaak was playing. I got freebies from a Radio station as well. I have noticed an older crowd lately and thinning of the crowds as time goes on.

Thanks for continuing to post the gate receipts! Can you please keep providing us with that info for the rest of the tour?

Thanks for all the tour stats.... I don't know why I get a kick out of this stuff, but I do.
Based on the 10 dates here showing attendance/capacity & gross... Here are the stats:
(based on these 10 dates only)
Totals
Total Attendance: 65,585
Total Venue Capacity: 106,930
Total Gross: $3,985,423
Averages
Average Attendance Per Show: 6,559
Average Capacity Per Show: 10,693
Average Gross Per Show: 398,542.30
Average Ticket Price Overall: $60.77
Average Percentage of Attendance vs Capacity: 61.33%
Concord - 74.78% - Capacity
Los Angeles - 89.37% - Capacity
Chula Vista - 47.96% - Capacity
Albuquerque - 54.63% - Capacity
Red Rocks - 94.58% - Capacity
Dallas - 31.09% - Capacity
The Woodlands - 57.72% - Capacity
Atlanta - 67.36% - Capacity
60% is usually the goal for ticket sales so to have that as an average isn't too shabby. I was at the OKC and Dallas shows. OKC's attendance definitely beat out Dallas. There were a ton of empty seats in front of us in Dallas and that was in the first 10 rows.

All I can tell you is that there were more than 5-6 thousand people at PNC...

Nah, I don't agree. I stood at the stage and the entire first eight rows on the sides were filled with empty seats. The whole second row, on both the left and right side of Center, was empty. Until people moved up into those seats from their ticketed seat. i was shocked at how many seats around me were empty.....especially close seats. The lawn was about 1/2 full........,,, comparing it to the Mac show in 2004 it looked empty.
Those numbers for Jones Beach are horrible. I know the weather was a factor but it was the only New York City show. Not good.
The tour seems to be doing about average overall. If the promotor would have booked her in smaller venues, she would have sell outs.

Well that was Orchestra. My sister was in section 201 and my friends were in 302. From up there they said it was completely full. I was in 104 and I agree with you. To tell you the truth. People left after Chris Isaak's set and some left during Stevie's first song. I think that if we had cheaper ticket prices we could have seen a sell out in PNC and the Beach. She sold out both these places in 01 with cheaper ticket prices.
The Beach isn't NYC. She should be playing in the city. She could easily sell out two nights at Radio City or four nights at the Beacon.

Not really. It depends on the market. Also the day of the week play a huge roll in attendance. Weekday shows (except Friday) generally do not sell to capacity, unless you're a hot, hot act (Killers, Celine Dion, Shakira, Madonna).
I'm with you on that point. Also, you have to consider the venue. If Stevie were in the D.C. area, she'd most likely be at Nissan Pavilion in Bristow. If that's on a weeknight, it's hard as the dickens to get all the way down there if you're fighting rush hour traffic in that area for a venue that has almost zero infrastructure supporting it on a night when the local transit system shuts down at midnight.
On a Friday night or a Saturday night, the transit system in question stays open until 3 a.m., which makes a huge difference. Plus, you're not getting out of work and trying to zoom down to a venue that doesn't have the infrastructure to support the zoom zoom.

Here's 5 more results of attendance at the 'Crystal Visions' tour, and the first sellout show is in this batch! So far, I've posted sales figures for about 22 of her dates on this tour,i think. Any shows i've been sent stats for are all located in this thread, which is why i'm keeping this batch here, thus bumping this thread back to Page One from Page Three, which sometimes is frowned upon amongst Ledgies, but it seemed most logical to me to keep it all in one place...

Those numbers aren't that bad. I was told that 12k showed up for Mansfield and that 10k tickets were sold.

Chicago on June 8th did NOT sell out and was probably about 90% full, 50 % when Chris Isaak was playing. I got freebies from a Radio station as well. I have noticed an older crowd lately and thinning of the crowds as time goes on.
Known to bust a stone or two? Riiiiiiight. ;)

So how, in your opinion is this tour doing for stevie. How full are the venues stuff like that? I Have heard that they are for the most part sold-out or close too. Oklahoma City had somewhere around 9,000+ people and I think I heard it was sold out. How sbout your guys shows?
well according to pollstar Stevie Ranked at #13 out of the top 20 tours of the summer which i think is awesome.
the show at Tweeter Center in Mansfield Mass. that i went to was not a sold out show i want to say there was about 8-9,000 people there give or take a few. But The Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncassville,CT was sold out on july 1, for sure that seats 10,000 people.

Kelly, you seem to always want to critizice Stevie for god only knows why! However I went to every night of her Caesars Palace concerts and I could only see a few empty seats and they were way up in the rafters! FYI!!:)

Didn't I read on Seven Wonders that the venue actually upgraded whole sections at this show? I am pretty sure I read that people were upgraded to empty sections closer to the stage.
I was wondering where your review was, too!
I don't think they did. From what I saw, it looked like all the seats were sold out.... DId I ever post a review?

:wavey:
The TISL Mansfield show was nuts. That place was packed to the limit. But she had done a TON of promo for that album and it sold really well. I almost got trampled when everyone rushed the stage. Some guy just lifted me up and thre me on a chair....scary show LOL.

I know this is old but you're right. The upgrading was 2 years ago with Henley...
