View Full Version : My Edge walk experience, why I hate Chastain and stupid bitches!

I wanted to start a separate thread because I needed to vent some about everything in my title.
First off, Edge Walk was the best and worst Edge Walk ever. Beforehand I had found some obvious Stevie fans around me and to make sure I wasn't going to be the only one heading down there. So we headed down front and were immediately denied. The left side would not let us down there and we were telling them this is what goes on during this song. The right side however was packed with about 50 people. So we patiently stood back till the right moment.About 6 people that were in the front row got up and left, but that will come with the stupid bitch part of my story. One of the ladies I walked down with had a gift to give her and while we were all huddled against the stage she was behind and couldn't reach to give it to Stevie, so I grabbed it and handed it to her. But I think Stevie thought it came from me and grabbed BOTH my hands and looked straight at me and said Thank You! Oh well :D God I love that woman!
Now for why I hate Chastain. I hate the location because all the rich snooby bitches and bastards that live near by come to the concerts. I hated their security last night. I hate the season ticket holders cause they make it harder on us real fans to get good seats. The only thing I like is that its outdoors.
Last but not least Stupid Bitches. I love to go to concerts but they've become so different that if it wasn't for the love I have for music I'd say **** it. It really irritates me and saddens me to see these girls in their cute little sundresses sipping Pinot Grigio sitting front row and not singing along to one word and constantly getting up and talking throughout the whole show. Concerts from my experience have seem to come to be about socializing and drinking. Which is fine and dandy but have some damn respect for what that artist is doing onstage. And I offer no apologies to the people that left because people were coming up front or to the #1 and #2 stupidest bitches that were complaining to security that it wasn't fair. Well my ticket cost the same amount as yours and obviously you've never been to a Stevie Nicks concert, so I could care less. I know I'm rambling but that really upset me. I just have to say too that I love fellow Stevie fans, cause we all stuck together and helped each other get down to the front.
So Stevie if your reading this down ever play Chastain again.

Chastain is all about background music while people dine. In fact, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra plays there and it is like a supper club. So, that mindset goes with the place.
As for sucurity - many of them are college kids or quasi volunteers. They are, in my decade + experience, the rudest bunch of uninformed a$$holes who could care a less about getting anything straight. Moreover, they are given a little power and misuse it for fun. I hate that fukcing place so much I cringe at the thought of ever going back.

This is why I've come to pretty much dislike going to shows unless they are in a club.

WEEEEAAAAKK!!!!
Security and talking bitches. Worst. I had a talking bitch for one show, but it was weird, she seemed to be a fan, but would still not stop talking. Like, she had to talk about the song all through the song. I'm not really shy about telling someone to hush.
Sorry, Brit. But, you had the edge walk, which is killah. :xoxo:

Do you remember what the gift was you handed her for the other lady? Was it a red heart balloon by chance?

Amen! And the damn beer and alcoholic beverages cost $7 a pop. I wish I had that much money to waste. What is the point of going to a concert and not even paying attention, not to mention annoying everyone by going in and out of the row 100 times. I so freaking hate these people. Somebody on here gave those people a good name, I think it was skanky beer chicks or sluts. lol.

And, I thought Soboba was bad!
I've had many front row seats over the years, some of which I had paid a lot of money for (charity auctions and/or scalpers) so you can't always assume the ladies in question paid the same as you did for your ticket. But as for me, I could care less if someone, who isn't in the front row, gets to the stage; as long as they don't push me out of the way.
Some fans though get territorial about their front row seating area. Had that happen this past winter at a Don Henley casino concert. One center floor front row VIP woman dared anyone to cross some imaginary line she had in front of her seats. Everyone steered clear of that part of the stage as she had blood in her eyes.

Twisted,
I'm sorry to hear about your experience. It bugs me too when perople feel the need to continually chit-chat around you when the performer is... well.. performing. I hope I get to grab Stevie's hand too! :) I can't think of what to give her, if anything though!

it sucked for me too--an old man security guy and a cop were blockading the 3rd row, meanwhile, everyone beyond that was rushing in, so I got no handshake this go round.

Yeah I think I ran into those 2 during the Monday show. I was on the left side and they would not let us up at first. While everyone and their brother on the right side went up there no problem. Then finally I think they just gave up. But I had no problem Tuesday, I was right up against the stage.
Oh and when they were breaking everything down, me and this girl I was sitting next to were just watching what was going on. Then this guy that was either security or a roadie said to me, you need to leave and I don't mind kicking all your shit off this stage right now!! I looked up at him and said "alright thank you asshole!!" NO MORE CHASTAIN STEVIE!

Now I'm kind of glad I wasn't able to make it to this venue.
I really think the key to getting up to the stage for Edge is all about confidence. When I've done it, I just acted like I was supposed to be there, and didn't like, look around nervously or anything. It's always worked for me, but obviously not at this place.
