They didn't sell enough tickets to warrant having an entire side of the venue's concession area open, so there was only one, but it was barely noticeable, since the potty and beer lines never seemed to be that bad. Most of the lawn was still empty when Eye Sack started his set, and the lower reserved section was only about 20% full.
During Eye Sack's set, I went to the middle of the 10th row to say hi to some friends I'd spotted. When Eye Sack made the move up the right aisle and I knew he'd come back down the left side, I stood on the aisle and waited for my man. I'm ashamed that I don't know the name of the song when he does this schtick, but it's got a Latin feel to it, and me and my new bf did a bit of the Tango in the Night....he spotted me on the aisle, grabbed my hand and leaned back, so we were holding hands, with both arms fully outstretched. He then put his arm around me and continued to serenade me, the spotlight went on us, and I'm sure I turned beet red at that point, and tried very hard to contain my obvious swooning. Jake was right, the man sweats a lot! But with that suit on and all that running around, who wouldn't? A woman sitting behind my friends took a couple pics and I hope she e-mails me soon...we exchanged business cards so I'll give her a couple days before I start bugging her.
My ticket was in the 9th row, on the right side, in the middle of the row, but much of my section was empty, including the seats closest to the center aisle, so that's where I ended up all night. Security was pretty cool - didn't mind pics being taken, but they did let far too many people up for the Edge walk. The only security beeyotch was the one between the covered seats and the concession area - she'd scream at people, with her toothless mouth, "TICKET! TICKET!" I heard many people complaining, "I had to show her my ticket AGAIN, even though she's seen me 20 times tonight..."
Landslide - Stevie talked about Lori's ties to Dallas, and that since Stevie knows so many people in Dallas, that there were lots of us in the audience, so it got dedicated to everyone.
The Edge rush was crazy - see Jake's Dallas Review thread re: that clusterf*ck.
More rambling and pics to follow soon...I'm still tired and the harsh reality of returning to work today has kicked my arse...and it's only Monday!
