OK So I got this idea from the Tori Amos message board. Are there any album covers that people don't like and why? Also, what would you change about them? Here is my attempt at an alternate OSOTM cover. It's pretty much a re-jigged version of the promo album but, hey, i like it better than the original. Any other's?

this should have been the original album cover

edit: it might look slightly better with the "Stevie Nicks" writing from my attempt.

Brilliant! That looks SO incredibly much better than the original. Ooo, I just remember how much I was disappointed with the whole OSOTM package- from cover to booklet to album to production etc etc. I've always thought that the red dress is awful, the pose is ridiculous and the hair a mess. The black and white shot is a big improvement.

The back pose on the OSOTM looks like Stevie is trying to get water out of her ear... LOL.

Not very flattering :)

Here's mine for The Other Side Of The Mirror. I wanted to use the photo that was hand tinted, by I couldn't find it. I like the starkness of this one though. I'm not a big fan of Stevie in red. The only time I ever liked it was in the Sara and Hold Me video. This is the album that marked a more glitzy Stevie. I prefer B&W anyway.

I love this one. It might look a bit like she is trying to get water out of her ear but it's is better than the unflattering squat from the actual cover. She looks like she is trying to birth a baby over one of those birthing balls. Bleck! :o

Not very flattering :)I've never liked the back cover pic either. To me, she looks like Quasimodo Nicks.
"The bells! The bells!"

The one that Richard posted is pretty terrific.

This isn't an album that exists, maybe someone could create it, but take the "Bella Donna" cover and have Ozzy Osbourne biting the dove's head off, the blood running down Stevie's arm. Ok, that's kind of sick, but I always thought it would make for a funny shot. Hell, someone did the BD cover with Stevie holding a buzzard, so why not!?

You all, I like all those alternates. Very creative and I think better than the original.

I always preferred the back cover.

I do remember looking at this picture and instantly thinking that
it was very creative to have covered over a third of her ass with a
a shadow. And to think it was pre-photoshop. Gold star for HWW III.

"Summer in the city, means cleavage, cleavage, cleavage."

I like that though.
