I am really not good a writting reviews for shows but this one was an exception.

First off I have to say that I will probably never go back to the Zoo Amp. That venure, IMHO, is not designed to hold that many people. And with oly one entrance made it difficult.

We got the the venue at 7PM:distress:
Mistake number one. We should have been there hours before. We hat to park in overflow parking at the OmniDome (science center). I have never been to this are and really did not know how far away the amp really was. The line was about half to 3/4 a mile long to get into to the amp. It was streched passed the OmniDome and curved around the building.
Mistake number 2.... Which was not our faulf but more of a venue error. We had no idea that the line we were standing in was a line for people with GA lawn seats... ther was a special line for the reserved seat people. So we make our was to the front to the speccial line..... And Chris Issac start. Hell just broke loose. There were still 3/4,000 people still waiting outside just to get in. I voer heard one of the security members saying something like this is utter chaos there are stilll way too many people out here. We finally got into the venue and got to out seats which were really close. I was more shocked than anything else. I have never been this close at a stevie or mac show and it made the experience all the more AMAZING! So decided to go the merch stand....... Mistake number 3. The morons working that show NEVER be allowed to step outside and see daylight again. PLUS they decided to mix up the chas and credit lines. So a process that should have taken seconds too minutes. WE were in like for 45 minutes.... there were only 20 people in line the whole time..... By The time we got back to our seats Chris was doing his signiture welcome the wemon on stage. and a couple more songs and it was over with. He put on a really good show. I really didnt have my expectations to high for this show for him or Stevie, but Chris did an amazing job and i WILL go see him again. Now the wait. This only took about 15 minutes, but they turned the hose lights out amost 5 minutes before the show.... is this normal?
Finally Bootylicious starts... The audience goes nuts. Probabaly thinking it is EO17 Finally after nine years of waiting to see Stevie solo she stats with Stand Back. This is an amazing way to open a show She Looked and sounded great. THe crowd was very loud tonight. Then she talks, does her thing and goes right into dreams. Nothing to exciting. Then If Anyone Falls... One of my favorites of the night! Love it she sounded so good. Then Rhiannon. Love the piano intro and the projections on the back.Enchanted was about what you would expect. Nothing to exciting. Show should really just drop this song. It has a lot of lackluster now. Not a favorite of the night. THen.. GOLD DUST WOMAN! This songs, into, etc was amazing! This was another night highlight Loved the into and the ending...baby baby bay...Then another night highlight.. I need to know. Amazing Loved how she did this song and the lighting was spectacular. Sorcerrer now, Loved this song too but nothing to right home about. Landslide was great loved the back projections... But i think stevie made a Boo Boo. Shew said something like in her opening dedications, the only person I know from Oklahoma is.. Bill Clinton. Is he really from oklahoma? Band intros were very candid tongiht and she knew that they were cutting it close. She said.. O the cerfuw people are going to hate me... No Fall from grace tongiht.... When was this cut? Oh Well. How Still My love was great, I have been wanting to see this song live for as long as I could remeber. Edge was off the wall. She didnt get to shake peoples and you could tell this was upsetting some people. And stevie did get shawl thrown at her... She kinda gave the typical mother "no-no" finger:laugh: Edge was another highlight of the night. All 16 minutes of it. Now rock and roll. at first I was upset that this was in the set. now I am glad I got to see it. The stage lighting and projections were amazing The song was so good! Beauty and the beast was probably one of the biggest highlights of the night. It was beautiful. awesome way to close the show.
This concert was amazing! I'd give tonight and 8 1/2 out of 10...mostly the venue kept it from being a solid 10. For anyone not going to this show because of the setlist.... well your missing out. It was amazing and I really wish I could got to Dallas tongiht to go see this show!Stevie and CHris did an namzing job Hope someone recoreded this show/

AMAZING NIGHT. And the moon behind the stage made it all the more memorable.
O P.S. Could someone from the OKC area, if there is, could be so kind as to send me clipping from the newspaper. I would love to get one. I looked online on the "Daily Oklahomans" website and there was nothign I would be wiiling to pay for all of it. I just collect clipping from the newspapaer of concerts I went too.
Thanks

Great review and glad you had a good time. But she cut a song? From an already too short setlist?

Should've cut Enchanted.

The one entrance bothered me, had there been an accident this show couldve turned into something deadly.

Also, This was also my first time at the Zoo Amp, cant say its a bad facility, but I hated the rock stairs, saw a few people 'bite the dust' on 'em throughout the night.

Yeah, It's normal here in OKC..And some in my section (Section 103 Row 1 about 5 rows from the stage) did think Stevie was going to start with EO17

THen.. GOLD DUST WOMAN! This songs, into, etc was amazing! This was another night highlight Loved the into and the ending...baby baby bay...Then another night highlight

Dude, I was so close that I watched "Mama-cita" swaying her hips as she did the "Baby baby baby" section , and all I can say is one word "Wood!" Damn, She was into it so bad....Brbrbrrbrbrbrrr, gave me goosebumps!!!!

Makes me wonder what she is doing with Mr.Eye-Sack before the show

But i think stevie made a Boo Boo. Shew said something like in her opening dedications, the only person I know from Oklahoma is.. Bill Clinton. Is he really from oklahoma? Band intros were very candid tongiht and she knew that they were cutting it close. She said.. O the cerfuw people are going to hate me...

The Clinton dedication was hilarious...Everyone thought that was so effin' funny man, Waddy kinda whispered into her ear "He's from Arkansas" and you could see Stevie just realized she goofed and she laughed.

Yes, She went past curfew...But oh well, seems noone really cared!!!

After she caught the shawl, she did the 'no-no' finger thing then she gave a "thumbsup" as to say "Yeah, I saw that coming towards me...I had no problem catching this white shawl".

Hate to admit it, But I headbanged to "Rock N Roll" couldnt resist old habits that die hard. Of course I had 2 beautiful ladies (Strangers of course) near me who made sure we all 3 had a great time (Why is it that when I am a FM/SN show I always have beautiful chicks find me as their temporary 'boy toy'? Not that I dont mind ya know...)

B&B sounded sublime, probably one of the better version I have heard as of late, of course the musical highights were GDW & HSML (GDW and that hip swaying...OI!!!!!)

As for Mr.Eye-Sack, he was probably one of the most entertaining opening acts I have seen in about 20 years...His show was great, Loved his "Only the Lonely" (Roy Orbison) & "I Want You to want Me" (Cheap Trick) covers.

His 'mirror ball' suit was hilariously snazzy, never saw that before...And of course as he left the stage he said "I'm Dwight Yoakam, thank you and goodnight"

she cut it...Possibly due to the late starting time of the show and curfew issues.

I hope so and not for the remainder of the tour. I love that song and it shows that she can still write and perform good rock...even if she doesn't hit that last big wail.

finally have a chance to be on the computer.

Was there, Stevie was amazing. The band was amazing. It was one of the most mesmerizing concerts I have ever been to. Stevie captured every moment of every song perfectly, if you ask me. The set was awsome, I would have loved to hear some rarites, but A) it's stevie nicks:cool: and B) this was my first venture to a stevie solo concert, so I was down for anything. I would say the highlights for me were Sorcerer - thought Waddy was excellent on this one- Gold Dust, and How Still. Every single song had an energy I havent seen in Stevie for a long time, so they were all great, those few just stood out. Thought Standback was awsome, kicked off a great night perfectly.

It was an incredible experience, and as a first Stevie solo concert, far surpased anything I had hoped for. I was hoping it would be awsome, but got awsomeXwhatever big number you wanna put in there:thumbsup:

for everyone else going to see her on this tour, have fun, I know you will. Stevie is back into her own, having a good time and performing better than ever.

I calls 'em as I sees 'em

Plus being only about 15 feet away from Mama-cita doesnt hurt (I was able to take in all of her 'glory' and I definitely needed a smoke after the show...A drink too! Cherry Limeade w/Vodka is the choice  )
