I have a friend who was a Ledgie ages ago. She wants her name removed from the lyric interps she did back in the day and has been emailing Marty for months about it to no avail. Can anyone here either contact Marty about it (I can PM you her name) or be able to do it themselves? Thanks so much!

why does she want her name removed?

no, I know it's not my business, but I'm still curious.

1. She wrote them when she was much younger than she was now. She is in journalism school and doesn't want them popping up on Google when looking for things she's written.

2. No one you'd likely know since she hasn't posted on the Ledge in several years (at least 4).

oh, well that makes sense. I'm sure a lot of us can relate in some way.

however, what about the lyric interpretations makes her feel uneasy? I'm just curious, she's/you're in no way obligated to answer that either. did she say some things she regrets or does she just feel they will make her appear unprofessional and show a lack of good grammar? after all, they're just her opinions about what a song by a rock and roll band may or may not mean in reality.

Hey Flipper. I've thought about that, too. I wouldn't mind having my name taken off mine, either. They just aren't good examples of my writing.

That's exactly why my other friend wants her name off. It's mostly because it was written when she was a youngun and her writing has improved since then. Since she's in journalism school and all she doesn't want her 12 year old writings out there on the internet.

Um, yeah. Such a good idea. If I ever think of these, I think of them in horror. Marty, if you read this thread- me too?
