Around 2004, right before the movie Ella Enchanted came out (with Anne Hathaway) and they started promoting it, i thought, wow, they'll probably use Enchanted from WH because that's pretty much what the movie's about. So, i went to the site and looked at the movie soundtrack...and guess what, No Enchanted! I was pissed!! I thought, why would you make a movie like this and not use Stevie's Enchanted, it was retarded...the soundtrack had all these crappy tween songs on it. I just remembered this today because i was listening to Enchanted, and i remembered when this happened.

hmm don't even remember that movie. But yeah that's what they do. Try to appeal it to a younger crowd. The teeny boppers! ah!

Are you going to be pissed when the movie "Talk To Me" comes out and the song isn't on the soundtrack? That's even more specific! I may associate specific words with Stevie songs, but I wouldn't expect Hollywood to do that. I thought the movie was cute, but, from what I remember,I don't think the song "Enchanted" musically would have fit well with it.

Was this movie in any way related to Stevie besides part of the title being one of her songs?

Patrick Dempsey has a new movie coming out called Enchanted. They better use Stevie's song or I'll be extremely pissed. No, honestly, I will be. I won't even watch it then.

I was not at all. In fact, I didn't even think about it.

i can't think of a single reason why they would put an album track from an album that was released in the 80's in a soundtrack for an extremely mediocre film that was destined to flop in 2004.

No but I did throw a major hissy fit when Disney used Angela Landsbury's voice for the tea pot in Beauty and the Beast and not Stevie's. I may start a email campaign to demand that they redub it.

I just hope they don't make a movie titled Desert Angel anytime soon.

Watching this (http://www.amazon.com/Edge-Seventeen-Motion-Picture-Soundtrack/dp/B00000J76O/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2/103-8816215-5367804?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1177084566&sr=1-2) was a little disappointing as well.

One, it was a horrendous movie. Two, no Stevie. :distress:

Oh lord, don't even expect that! I worked on that movie and it was friggin painful. We were in Central Park and the loop they used for three days of filming was high-pitched, obnoxious soprano lead vocals that were backed up by a weird chorus of circus freaks. I know it was all fantasy, but the lyrics were about "then you will know (sung five hundred times) that he's the one." I'm having horror flashbacks... at least it was a decent paycheck.

To stay on topic, of couse I wasn't pissed off. Hollywood could care less about using Stevie's 80's tunes.

Clearly, no one else felt as I did, so let's just let this thread die.
