Stolen 2Voices Photos

ok, so I just got into the whole torrent deal and I am loving it (BIG thanks to all who helped!!) So I was doing a search on DIME for a Stevie/Don 2 Voices show and I found one and was reading the comments left for it where someone had posted a page with bootleg artwork for covers...

and I scrolled down to the Holmdel and Hershey artwork when my jaw pretty much hit the floor when I saw MY photos used as the front covers and back(for hershey)...


now, had someone ASKED me or even credited my photobucket URL for the photos I wouldnt be so pissed off, but seriously! doesn't anyone have any courtesy at all?? Am I overreacting? probably...I just got fired up for some reason...

As far as I know Neil, who runs that site, doesn't create that all that artwork, he's simply put together a resource of bootleg artwork posted by others on the torrent sites.
If you email or PM him (he's nomod on this board) I'm sure he'd remove it if you asked.

My photos have been used for quite a few boots. I am pretty sure that I was credited on the back cover at least for the Lindsey boots. I was never asked but to be honest I think that it is sort of flattering that they were used.
I do find it funny that for the Madison SYW boot they used my photos of Camden, NJ which was odd because I did have nice photos from the actual Madison show.:shrug: If someone did ask to use my photos I would have at least directed them to the correct photos.

I think you're overreacting. it's not fun to have your stuff stolen and I'm not condoning it. but once you put your shit on the internet, you should assume you've signed a contract that it could quite possibly be "stolen" and used for purposes without your consent or knowledge. that's just the way it is.

the times I've caught my stuff stolen, I addressed the person and just asked who, what, when, where, why and how. get the story first and then work it out. I've found most people to be very workwithable.

That's true. The only time I've been pissed off is when someone was attempting to sell pics of mine on eBay, but using them on free bootleg artwork is, like Pattie says, quite flattering.

They used to be on the Ledge but I removed them a while back because of that. It was only one or two but still.

I might be a bit upset too. Someone downloaded my B&tB vid from Youtube & was passing it off as their own, and I wasn't happy. But hey, life's too short too get too bent out of shape over it. As long as they didn't sell your pics to make a profit, I'd just chalk it up to rudeness. It sucks, but it happens.

EDIT: Just noticed that if you hover over the pics, some are credited. Perhaps you can email Neil & ask him to credit you for that particular pic.

ok, just got back from class and am cooled down... I think I was just mad at the laziness of the person who created the covers more than anything...I am not mad at Neil or even the fact that they were even made... whatever, I am over it already :thumbsup:

don't feel bad, i had "mirage" tour photos stolen outa my purse, back in '83~ way before internet trading...only to have the A-holes brother who didn't know me, try to sell them to my best friend for 5 bucks 3 years later:eek: ~ she bought them & gave them back to me:thumbsup: ~

Post any media online. kiss it goodbye. Thats how I feel about the internet.your safe if it's watermark the sh$t out of it.But if they are talented with photoshop
software, they can hack wipe out the watermark.Thats why I try not to post to many of my personal concert photos on the internet.they probably show up on
sleezebay. or on some bozos boot cd.
