Jason, you cannot be a member of the Ledge anymore...that was sexist and racist...and Rev. Al wants you on his radio show:laugh:
Do you think she'll do TTM this summer, Jas?

Perhaps she'll do it in black face with lawn jockeys at each end of the stage
Seriously, I think she might. I think she knows many people want to hear it and it was a hit.
I would fall over dead (much to the happiness of a few Ledgies :woohoo: ) if she did it and did it like this.

If she sings it like this, it's not so vocally demanding and it would still rock. Do you think she should close with this?

Me too. But if she closed with it...she'd have enough time to rest for the screams...and for some reason I am sensing ICW after that KFOG interview where they played it...

It's not that different in intensity from Beauty and the Beast
But, I agree, she is loathe to do it, which is sad.

I have learned never to give up on her as she usually shocks the shitte out of me a la Vegas and B&B -- then R&R and Circle Dance -- not to mention singing with DH and then SYWBARRS.
So, we'll see on this tour.

Ever since The Dance Tour - I am reminded of her "I really had to pace myself" comment. Well..the reality is..SHE REALLY DOES have to pace herself now. It is a definite vocal and energy pace. She is getting older too after all.
There are songs like SB - that require a certain amount of energy..that I'm sure gets harder to muster up toward the end of the evening. I think that is why she is now opening with it. She has been complaining for years that TTM is very difficult to sing - and that was when she could still hit those high notes. When I saw the SYW Tour - she totally did not sing a WHOLE LINE on Gypsy and Lindsey started laughing. It was the high part. So..nothing she decides to not do anymore is that suprising. It is almost funny. I think she is scared shitless of SS now too..for the same reason. I think that is why she dropped that song too.

since when has she been opening with Stand Back? I really hope she does Talk To Me and Rooms On Fire. I think she could still handle both.

Well, she opened with it in Vegas. Other than that, I do not think she has opened with it
Whether she opens with it on the Love Train tour remains to be seen.

I know...sigh.
I don't see why couldn't pull off TTM. It looks like she's leaving all the high notes to the gals in this video, so just do the same for CV tour.

Im gunna have to disagree on that. Beauty and the BEast doesn't get instense until the end and its at a really slow pace. She sings it beautifully, but Talk to me is a whole different ballpark. The chorus alone is tough, let along the verses...sheebus! But hey if she dropped RnR and put TTM there she could definitely do it. Her vocals shine when she gets out for the encore.
Rooms on Fire and Blue Demin are also 2 that don't require much strength and fit right into the set.
Ive already accepted the fact that this summers "new" set will be the Vegas arrangement + Silver Springs.

Great tour.
Unless she hires a sax player, Talk to Me ain't going in the set.

When it comes to what she can handle vocally, I think almost any of the TISL tracks would work - it's stuff she's actually recorded in the past 10 years. The only problem with being a classic rock fan is that so many of the artists just can't do what they could before.
Still, here's hoping!

Exactly, why do a song thats going to kill her vocals *COUGHsilverspringsCOUGH* when she could be doing 3 songs to please the diehards with little or no effort.

Here's the thing too, those songs that she did with little or no effort back in the day might be more in her 'power' range now. It's like Silver Springs '77 vs. Silver Springs '97. In '77 her voice was high enough to do mostly the entire song without much effort, but by The Dance you can hear that she has to belt out the verses a little more in order to hit the notes, giving the song new life and more power. The same goes for Landslide, at least on the high "SNOOOOOW" note at the end. This is why I am always so eager to hear her do Ooh My Love. That song is PERFECT for her range now.

I'd prefer to see I Can't Wait to be honest (Although TTM would be amazing!) and I think it would suit her better...
