So I have read somewhere that Warner is planning on an international release in the late summer. Stevie also mentioned that she will be going to Europe to do PR in the late summer...
...so, I figure that she'll be doing some shows overhere then. Because it makes no sense in releasing an album now and do some promotion months later!!! If they promote heavilly then, you maybe get some people to buy concert-tickets...now it''s to early for that.
Anybody a different thought on this hypothesis?

Hmm. I dunno. She didn't go to Europe for TISL. It is extremely expensive to travel and tour overseas and I just don't know if it is economically feasible. I hope she does some shows for the European fans but I just do not see it happening. Going over for some promotion is entirely likely though. I just do not see her bringing over the entire backing band and entourage when she does the PR blitz. Maybe Waddy.

I can see her doing the press over there then doing like 8-10 dates like she did on the OSOTM tour.

Exactly my thoughts at first. She didn't tour here solo since 1989, so no Street Angel, no Enchanted, no TISL, no Gold Dust and no any other tour she did so far. Even FM did only 14 shows in 3 Eurpean countries in 2004.
She is not popular/kown anymore overhere, so why spend a wholle lotta money, while you are not sure that you'll sell out.
But still, I have my hopes for some shows tied up to the release in september...

Are you serious? Wow. I would have thought it would have been many more than that :(
I remain optimistic. North America --> Australia --> Europe seems reasonable to me, and since she mentioned it in the recent interviews I presume the idea has at least been kicked around.
I really hope it happens!

I really wish Stevie would do some shows in Europe for all the long time fans. She could at least play London, Paris, Amsterdam and some shows in Germany. She could perform in some nice theater type venues, 3,000 seaters.
I mean, everyone plays Europe, so I never really understood her saying it was too expensive to do so. I often read some of the British music magazines and they have listings for so many bands playing England. There's no reason why she cant. I truly hope this time it's just not talk, after all, she's done several Australian tours. Europe should definitely be added to this upcoming tour.

Yes, they did only Ireland, UK and Germany.

Well, Stevie toured New Zealand in 2006, and she had never been here as a solo artist before - so I think European fans have a shot this year...
Oh let's just keep our fingers crossed that she will come to Europe, she hasn't been solo in UK since 1989 OSOM tour which was fantastic - I look on here every day just wishing to see - STEVIE TOURS EUROPE - one day:lol:
