Has anyone else noticed the substandard sound quality of the studio tracks from the iTunes version of Crystal Vision? A fan was saying that the tracks from Bella Donna and The Wild Heart aren't remastered. The glaring example is Leather and Lace which is the version from the Bella Donna CD, instead of the version on the Crystal Visions CD which has the extra line at the end of Don Henley's part. I didn't notice initially because I only listen to the iTunes version for the live Stand Back. But it's true. Stand Back and If Anyone Falls aren't remastered either. iTunes is pitching Crystal Visions, but they're passing off old tracks!

YES!! it's so true. At first I couldn't understand why everyone was saying all the tracks were sounding so good and remastered. I was only listening to the itunes version -- and then this week I put the real CD in my stereo, and thought, "WOW, big difference" must be my ipod headphones. But it's not. They are just the old Wild Heart bad mixes of these songs. How wrong of itunes to do such a thing. I'm going to find a complain link and definitely allert them to this.

^^^
you can't post commercially released material here.
email me if you want the CV iTunes version of Stand Back
I did notice this difference in sound quality, but I too attributed it to my sound system. this is quite typical of iTunes lackluster way of doing things sometimes.

I just submitted a complaint to itunes for Stand Back and If Anyone Falls:
Here's what I wrote, I'll let you know if I get a response.
"Hello -
I purchased from itunes the complete, deluxe version of "Crystal Visions: The very best of Stevie Nicks" on the day of it's release, March 28th, 2007. This new greatest hits collection from Stevie Nicks contains songs that have been remastered, yet the itunes version of the CD contains poor-sounding, decades-old, non-remastered versions of some of the songs (such as Stand Back, and If Anyone Falls in Love). Luckily I also purchased the physical CD version of "Crystal Visions," and the difference between the two versions is staggering. The actual CD contains these songs, but they sound amazing, clear, crisp, and obviously remastered. It is false advertising and wrong of itunes to label these songs as part of the package of "Crystal Visions" which contains "new" remastered version of old hits, when in fact these songs on itunes are nothing more than the same poor-sounding, early-80s, old-album versions of the song that most fans already have. Please remedy this problem, so that future purchasers of this package can receive the same HIGH quality versions of these songs that are available on the CD version."

Leather and Lace is NOT the Bella Donna version. It has the extra Don Henley verse and is most definitely remastered. Stand Back is as well.

Did you download it from iTunes? Maybe they fixed the problem. I definitely got the old tracks.
