It's posted on their music homepage, under "Celebrity Playlists." There's a big pic of Stevie at the top of the page. I think it's pretty cool that she follows current music.

Here's what she wrote for each song in case you don't have iTunes.

I've never heard of several of these people. Primitive Radio Gods? Force MDs? Craig David?

I will say that it's nice that she's not just listening to '70s/80s white rock, which is what I get the feeling a lot of people here would want her to listen to.

I checked Diana Ross' playlist...every song on there is her own song...how stupid is that!? At least Stevie is original and IMO has picked a good variety of songs from different genres.

I know everyone except for Primitive Radio Gods and Force MDs. I think it's cool that Stevie listens to different genres of music. I listen to basically everything myself. I have been playing "What Goes Around...Comes Around" to death lately and it's interesting knowing Stevie likes it too :)

Edit: Now I know who Force MD is. I couldn't place the song Tender Love for a minute.

I thought it was kinda interesting when Stevie mentions that the "Cry Me a River" (song & video) and "What Goes Around..." reminds her of Lindsey and herself from long ago. Both of those songs are about cheating. For a split second I was thinking hummm.....but I remember reading a comment from Stevie or Lindsey saying that they never cheated on each other. So maybe she meant that Justin writing a song about the demise of his relationship with Britney was similar to how she and Lindsey wrote "Dreams" and GYOW about each other.

Did anyone else have this thought? That Stevie doesn't really listen to this stuff. That was the first thing that came to my mind. I don't know; I just don't see her listening to this playlist while she gets ready for her show.

She always talks about how nervous she is before shows, and I can't see her sitting around listening to this playlist to calm her nerves.

I'm thinking that she didn't want to seem fuddy-duddy, so she picked mostly fairly-current songs. I don't know it just seems odd to me.

Sure, she does! Remember when she commented on TLC's Unpretty? She was so inspired by the song that she sought out the producer, Dallas Austin, to work on tracks for TISL. (I'm convinced he worked on the Bombay Sapphires outtakes.)

She's also mentioned that she listens to satellite radio while working out on the treadmill. So I'm sure she's well versed on today's music. :woohoo:

Wow, I'm really amazed at how mean some of you people can be. I always thought The Ledge was supposed to be a place where we could get together and share our love of all things Stevie. Just because you don't like a song or even a style of music doesn't mean that it's bad. I happen to really love that Primitive Radio Gods song, which was a one hit wonder from the mid 90's, by the way, so the idea of her only picking current songs isn't exactly right. I think she has quite an eclectic taste in music and while I don't like all the songs in her list it does show that she likes a lot of different kinds of music.

This post really makes me sad.

I think "in the darkest places of [our] minds", we all can relate. I love Disco and early Rap LOL.....and...if any of you haven't heard the song on Stevie's itunes list "Standing outside a broken phonebooth, with money in my hand"...it is worth your listen! :) The band is The Primitive Radio Gods. It was their only hit, in I believe 1996. It is absolutely gorgeous!

Everybody's got their own taste in music.......I get slammed by people at times because I love Fleetwood Mac music, and Stevie solo music, and Christine solo music, and, (gasp) yes, even Lindsey music!!!!

Soooo.......what?? Just because Stevie doesn't like the music that you like, she's so lame......she listens to crap........blah blah blah blah blah.......
Get a grip people. Not everybody has to enjoy the same kind of music.
Some folks are making Stevie out to be some kind of old fuddy-duddy who can only be into like oldies and 60's/70's music. OH MY GOODNESS!!! She listen's to different stuff!!!???? Nooooo, say it isn't so!!!????

I don't care for some of the songs on Stevie's list.....but you know what? Whatever floats her boat! I just look at it and say "Oh, that's what she listens to, ok, cool".

When I used the term fuddy-duddy in my post, I wasn't saying that Stevie is some kind of old fuddy-duddy, I was saying that I think that Stevie must think that people would see her as old if she didn't put mostly current music in her list. ***Please see my previous post.***** Also, I was saying that I don't think that this seems like music that she listens to before every show.

I love Stevie! She isn't old or fuddy-duddy to me. I was just explaining what I thought she must have thought when she put this odd list together. To me, it just doesn't seem like songs that I think Stevie would sit around listening to a lot, and you can't tell me that some of her favorite songs aren't older than 90s.

Geez people. She likes whatever music she likes. I really dont think she should be judged or called lame because of the music she likes. People are inspired by different types and genres of music. Some people here act like they know her or something. It is just strange. Geez...no wonder a lot of celebrities hesitate to share their opinions on anything.

Calling someone else's taste in music "lame" is simply rude and insulting. It doesn't matter if it's Stevie or anybody else.

I call people's taste in music lame all the time, and vice-versa. I don't view it as insulting - get off your high horse...

oh come ON. buck up a bit. it's frickin music. do you really care that much what people think of the music YOU listen to? if you do, you have to get over yourself. life is going to get a whole lot tougher than that.

It dawned on me today that Christine Fans and Lindsey Fans never argue amongst themselves or chastize each other the way we Stevie Fans do.

Maybe they are better people than we are after all.

The differences of opinion between those fans always seem more civil.

Christine fans can get hella violent. There's a lot of slapping and throwing of wine. You know how hard it is to get Merlot stains out of fabric?

And the Chris fans dodge em pretty well, when we're not wasted on the aforementioned Merlot. Although one time, I got a beak in the eye. Was that you? I still haven't recovered.

I wonder how many Eminem and Gnarls Barkley songs would be on his list.

If he did, Lindsey's list would automatically be miles ahead of Stevie's in my eyes.
I think the lamest, most disappointing thing about Stevie's list (apart from that awful, awful Craig David song, which has become something of a joke over here in the UK) is how samey it is. Someone said they liked it because it was eclectic but really it's all top 40, mainstream pop.

Everybody is way to precious about Stevie. Her list is lame - deal with it.

I call people's taste in music lame all the time, and vice-versa. I don't view it as insulting - get off your high horse...

Seriously. If one of my friends had come up with this list, I'd have teased them about how lame it was too. Why should I change my opinion because it's Stevie? I still think her music is great.

Thats because most chiffon-heads are insufferable and wrong about almost everything...

now I can safely say if that is the music she is currently listening to I hope she never releases a new studio album

Well, I'm not too fond of these picks either, but it's her choice and that is to be respected.
Anyway, I think she could sound pretty good with a beats genius from the hip hop genre as her producer - that is if she brought in old friends like Mike Campbell, too, to play a solo.
She's always had a Californian sound to her music - and the sound of the California of today is pretty plastic. Of course it would be a bit risky because it would not go down well like London London Bridge (please excuse this silly plastic pop quote) with some people from the core of her fanbase, but it would win her new admirers all the same, so I guess it's worth trying.

clearly these were chosen by some manager/agent. they're probably all warners or reprise "artists".
