Hjort's book mentions that Dinky Dawson recorded that concert in 68 and that Peter Green played the tape(s) to a journalist at his house.
Is was the first time I read about that.
Does anyone here liste to a tape this concert ?

Thanks for the info, Karl-Heinz. I've never heard of a tape of that show - I attached a jpg of the poster. I'm guessing that there must have been a number of shows that Dawson recorded - wonder if the tapes still survive and if so, what's happened with them? We know that the 1/69 Shrine Auditorium recording survived!
And if anyone's interested, here's an interesting item on eBay from a show at the Grande Auditorium in Detroit from the summer of '68 (not '69 as the eBay listing states): http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220088363704&ih=012&category=105050&rd=1
(Hey, my signature line even ties in neatly with this :) )

And the Shrine recording beats all other live recordings regarding the recording quality as well as the concert quality, including the Boston Tea Party and the New Orleans Warehouse venues. So who knows what Dinky might still have in store for us???
Dinky, do you read us
