They mentioned Stevie in Home Entertainment magazine. (I got a free subscription.) There is a section in there that has "Get It" & "Forget It". Well, Stevie is in the "Forget It" section. :distress:

It says:

"Timespace: The Best of Stevie Nicks (CD) (Now I think they meant the new one coming out which is Crystal Visions: The Best of Stevie Nicks.) We've got nothing against Stevie, but don't all of her 40-something fans already have all of her CDs? (I'm a fan, but I don't. ) Don't tell us there is a new crop of 12-year olds about to start wearing flowing robes, flowering their hair, and waving their fingers in front of their eyes." Huh, has this person even seen her lately? I resent that remark.

Now I have some of those same songs on this CD, but I don't have them all, & you can get the CD with a DVD, so poo on them, I'm getting it anyway!

Well, what about all her fans who aren't old enough to drink, smoke, own a car, or purchase a firearm? Stevie's like, the world's oldest teenybopper, Man!

I think the CD will sell ok. The "hard core" fans will buy it for the "extras."

I do think Stevie has some newer fans...Petty fans who caught her on tour last year, Dixie Chicks fans, etc...I think she is doing very well for 58 years old.

I started really listening to Stevie when I was 11, so ha!! They can take their review and shove it!! I'm 20 now and still a REALLY big fan of her music. And like it was said before, it doesn't matter if the songs are on her other cds, her real fans will still buy this new Best Of album.

it's not necessarily a "bad" mention. just stereotypical Stevie review including all her witchy ways. as long as it's not blasting her, any publicity is good publicity. he should've checked his facts first though.

See, I love these "reviewers". It's so transparent that they haven't even seen/heard the product or paid attention to what's actually on it before commenting. Wouldn't we all like to be paid big bucks for not doing a damn thing but write something a 9th grader could write (no offense to fabulous 9th graders everywhere)? Okay, maybe I would actually pay attention, which also pisses me off. How do these people get hired?
