I don't visit this forum too much.. But I'm on a Wild Heart kick as of late... This is such a solid album. I remember I was riding my bike with a bunch of friends (i was around 14)... And I saw it in the record shop and bought it with the little money i had in my pocket and left my friends to run home and listen to it.......
Sable On Blonde is my fav off the album...

'Wild Heart' is my favorite of Stevie's albums and I could gush about it all day (and all night -- all over the world).
By the way, I haven't forgotten that I owe you a PM! :xoxo:

I find the album extremely tedious to listen to, but I like a few tracks here and there...

there is something about TWH that is so totally Stevie while being not really Stevie. IDK, can't explain. I love every song on it for different reasons although I'm not fond of I Will Run To You.

That's my favorite song on the album. It sounds so lose and off-the-cuff. I love it for it's off kilter vocals and unsteady rhythm. It's the diamond in the mist of synths and poetic lyrics. It's so not Stevie, but it so is....

Great album... first tour I saw... was at Red Rocks when she recorded the show (actually in the DVD for a fraction of a second!)
Sable on Blonde... great song...
Wild Heart still my fav....
Don't balme it on me... blame it on wild heart!
(actually used that line when I was caught cheating on my girlfriend when I was 17)

It's a masterpiece. It constantly stuns me. Even the songs I don't like as much (G&G, SOB) have parts that stun and amaze me. Nightbird is a sonic/harmonic triumph, a small miracle.

I honestly think it's a masterpiece too... It's like Bella Donna II only she got a little better... and I love Bella Donna... especially the title track...

While we are on the subject... i've always thought that Stevie took more chances than CM and LB lyric wise.... Her lyrics on this album deeply move me.....

To me each of the "Big Three" is like a different awesome Stevie. One who talks about mostly the same things as on the last one, but with very different vocals.
However, I have to say that WH is the one I'd give the "masterpiece" title to first and most readily. Even though I love the others just as much.

Even with the touch of eighties synths, the album still holds up after all these years. I remember reviews for the album weren't as universaly glowing as they were for Bella Donna. Her lyrics got a beating, but her strong vocals were always praised.
It's nice that she's performed many songs from that album:
If Anyone Falls
Beauty and The Beast
Stand Back
Enchanted
Nightbird (one time only?)
I Will Run To You (one time only?)
Garbo (b-side)
I always thought Sable on Blonde could have/should have been performed after Outside The Rain, as a much needed replacement to Dreams. It has the same vibe/beat.

i always felt that Sable On Blonde had McVie on keys leftover from the FM demo... i know Mick is on here... but yeah it's a Dreams sound for sure

Interesting, I hadn't thought about that. I can see that. I think it's more smooth McVie rather than very rhythmic McVie. If that makes sense.
Oh, and crap, Jazz made sig is amazing.

Oh, and crap, Jazz made sig is amazing. I so want my walls painted with stand back video, or all screens, all stand back. Whatever, I adore it, and that sig. The stand back video is...it's like my Jesus...just kidding. I can't get enough, though. That's actually the "I Can't Wait" video, sweetie. :xoxo:

I did take a second look and be all ..."wait..." but of course I spoke first. She's wearing that cleavage black, and well, uh...It's very hot, like the Stand Back video...

I always thought of the I Can't Wait and the Talk To Me videos as being a sort of part one and part two. She's wearing similar outfits when she's on the stairs and when she's walking down the hall. So they kind of link up.
But I have to say I think she looks really wasted in the Talk To Me video. Especially in the closeups. She's singing this really serious song and has that goofy smile. I'm sorry, I hate to ever pick on her but that always struck me as odd.

However big the original image is that you paste in your sig, is how big it will appear in your sig...

if you right click and save the pic directly to your desktop and then upload it to your own photobucket account and paste that link, it should all work.
