Does anyone remember what date "Every Day" and "Planets" were released to radio? I know it was sometime in April 2001, but I can't remember the exact date.

Thanks!

I do know that the Every Day video premiered on VH1 on 5/3/01. I'm not entirely sure the two singles were officially released until after the whole album was officially released, and the reason I think they weren't is because I remember thinking that it was a mistake not to release them before the album to give the album some exposure.

I'm trying to clear the long nets of white that seem to be clouding my memory.

Back in '01, I remember thinking something similar to what you said -- that it was a mistake to release something-or-other after the album, rather than before it.
Then the other day, when I was thinking back on the release of 'TISL,' I couldn't remember if it was the singles that came afterwards or the video. I then went digging through a lot of old online articles, etc., and I saw a few references to "Every Day" and "Planets" being released to radio sometime in April.

So I guess it was the "Every Day" video that I thought should have been out a couple of weeks before the album was released... but I still don't recall exactly when the singles went to radio.
I swear I have an article somewhere with that info, but I can't find it. Grrr.

On April 13th, 2001 - Planet's of the Universe debuted on the Radio and Records National Airplay list at #27 and Everyday at #28 - so it's possible, depending on the number of weeks it takes for records to gain enough popularity to chart on the radio charts, that it was a few weeks before this...which could make it March, 01.

For a lackluster lead single, "Every Day" was the #1 Most Increased AC track during its launch period, the week ending April 20th, according to R&R.
