I was wondering what ever happend to the members of her band from the early days and up to now? (Russ Kunkle, Roy Bittan, Lynn Mabry, Sara Fleetwood, Jennifer Condos etc). I wonder how come they left and if you think any of them willl return.

Probably because most of them --with a few exceptions -- are hired help!
Just because they performed on a Stevie tour doesn't mean they are officially in a "band" and expect to be with Stevie for years to come. For most of them it is a one time gig and they move on. Others may come back here and there, but a lot of that has to do with logistics and other commitments made. She can't expect everyone she wants just to be waiting around for her call.
She has to always assemble a new band when she tours.
I think one her best bands was the Bella Donna tour band. But do you can't expect Bemont Tench (of the Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers) and Roy Bittan (from Bruce Springteen's E Street Band) to defect their bands. It was just a one-off gig for them.
Waddy has been the most loyal player, aside from Sharon, but even he hasn't performed on every tour. Stevie has made some odd choices here and there, and I'm thankful we won't be seeing them again. I can't think of his name, but the keyboard player who over-sang Two Kinds Of Love in 1989...well I don't miss him much.

I, for one, would REALLY like her to dump Carlos Rios. He's been a scourge of guitarists everywhere. And, DEFINITELY keep him the hell away from another Fleetwood Mac tour!!
Russ Kunkel is one of the most "in demand" session drummers around. Lately he's been playing with Lyle Lovett.

Taku is completely awesome, but I'll always have a soft spot for Ms. Hall.

It's funny, even though I've never read or heard an interview with her, she seems like such a interesting person.

I just remember how cool it was that Jennifer Condos was her bass player! She rocks out!
Waddy... he is also the "musical director" of the band. I can't recall what they did when he wasn't around... but they survived.

Don Boyett.

Robert Martin   He did two tours of duty in addition to doing her House of Blues radio broadcast on the "Street Angel" tour. He has definitely left an indelible scourge on Stevie's solo live performances.
I suspect that Stevie is more of a "people person" than a "musician's musician" in that she goes with her gut when it comes to choosing musicians. Whether it's the way they look, the smile, the personality, etc. That's the only way I can fathom why she would utilize musicians who are so inexplicably bland (Brett Tuggle, Carlos Rios), idiosyncratic (Rick Vito, Waddy Wachtel), or just plain bizarre (Cat Gray). In any case, it's obvious that she runs a tight ship and that her bandmembers worship the ground she walks on. And it's quite remarkable that her Gold Dust band has remained intact for as long as it has.

Miss Bobbye ruled the world! She was such a cool cat... As much as I like Taku, I sometimes get the sense that Jimmy/Taku are competing with each other- kind of like a percussion death match. But Bobbye, on the other hand, just did her own thing; she never felt the need to be overpowering. She was "jungle" before it was trendy. She commanded the spotlight (as-needed) on her own terms.

Wasn't Robert Martin an item with Cybill Shepherd in the 90s?

Peter Michael Escovedo... I get down on him sometimes - probably unfairly. I thought his percussion solos were so lame...what with the glowing drumsticks and the throwing and the catching. He was "musical director" during the Timespace shows, or, at least that was how he was introduced. Who knows, though? She was pretty zonked-out then.

That would be Cybill Shepherd's old boyfriend, Bobby Martin.

Last time I saw him, he was on tour with Cher.

I thought Jai Winding was a very good keyboard/Piano player. He had cool hair during the RAL tour, looked like he belonged in Prince's band at the time, The Revolution.

You're forgetting Marty Greb and his magic pants. I wish I had a photo.

He ended up being the musical director on some late night show. His work on some of the Street Angel songs was nice. Although I can honestly say I think he's better suited to the studio than being a live player.

EVERYBODY back then looked like they belonged in Prince's band...except maybe Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Even Clapton!!

Drummer Russ Kunkel was MD. And, Rick Vito was lead guitarist.

It's time that she hired me to play keyboards/piano for her. We would totally rock out.:] I WOULD MAKE SURE that she added some of the songs her fans REALLY want to hear. What do you all say?

As soon as she hires me to play guitar, you'll be "in".

I second that...never liked him, he annoys the hell out of me, and I am thankful to have been on Waddy's side for every Stevie show I have ever been to! (and thankful he cut that god aweful hair)
I have a vhs of a show from the Enchanted Tour where he played lead on EO17 and he was playing it so fast Stevie was messing the words up (Voice of a poet, words of a choir) she kept looking over at him like SLOW IT THE FUKC DOWN!
