What ever happened to the Tom Petty Soundstage with Stevie? My local PBS/Soundstage site dropped this as an uncoming airing. Did it ever air? I can't believe I missed it if so.
Anybody know anything about it?

I have seen the DVD in stores... I didn't know Stevie was on it. I have looked at it... thoroughly I thought too... I didn't notice Stevie on it? Did I miss it?
I know that the Lindsey Soundstage has aired, is out on DVD, and has Stevie on it.

My local station (KQED) shows it airing on March 3rd.

The Tom Petty Soundstage aired and is out on DVD, but it never had Stevie on it (thankfully). So unless he recorded a second episode of Soundstage, you must be mistaken.

PBS is supposed to air a concert that was taped last September in Gainesville, FL , no air dates posted yet on my local station. This will be Tom's second Soundstage show.
This week my local station will be airing Rickie Lee Jones ....
as they say check your local listings

Tom and the boys had a previous 'Soundstage' performance that aired back in July of '03 and is available on DVD -- but the concert that features Stevie (thankfully ;) ), called 'Live From Gatorville,' hasn't aired yet.
It wasn't filmed specifically for 'Soundstage,' but it will air as part of that series, beginning around the second week of March (local airtimes always vary with PBS stations).
A DVD release is supposed to follow, but I haven't heard a release date yet.
Hope that helps clear things up! :)

Ah, I knew they had recorded that show, but wasn't aware that it was going to be aired on PBS as part of SoundStage. I'm out of the loop, I guess.

What is it with Stevie and SoundStage. Technicly it is her 4th performance on SoundStage, with Fleetwood Mac, Lindsey Buckingham, Chris Isaak and now with Tom Petty. I can't think of any other artist having more appearances on SoundStage ever, than Stevie. But why doesn't she get her own SoundStage? Hasn't she been asked to do a solo one yet or does she just have issues releasing full pro-shots concerts of her?

Ummm... why do you torture yourself by visiting the Stevie board? It's obvious that you do not like her, and you have nothing productive to say about her, so please just stay the f*** away, mmmkay?

It's not showing on the Soundstage website anymore. Or was it ever there? I seem to remember it was, but I'm not sure.
I just checked the Houston PBS listings (which go thru March 3rd) and it's not listed there.

Dude, this thread was listed on the main index page for the Ledge and had Tom Petty's name in the title. So I clicked on it. It's not like I go cruising the Stevie boards all the time or ever, really.
So shove it, mmkay?

Thanks Johnny Stew -- I didn't think I had dreamed it all up! The Soundstage page originally showed it to air as part of Season 4, but now it isn't listed. That's why I was asking if anyone here had heard any updates.

Um... big words spoken from the anonymity of the internet. You would think wiser than to address me in that tone in person.
Anyway, nobody here is impressed by your Stevie hatred, so go away. Please go commiserate with the two or three other losers into Walter Egan.

I mean really! It's not like I go into the other Ledge boards going on about my dislike of Billy Burnette and Bekka Bramlet. And I could go on for days about how exquisitely tacky it was for Bekka to try to cover "Gold Dust Woman," and failing miserably, and how ironic it is that the song contains the line "Pale shadow of a woman..." Pale shadow, indeed! But anyway, I take the highroad, lest I risk offending others who are into her  .

triple yawn.
it's constant comments such as this that I think are uncalled for. never is Stevie mentioned without disdain or some smartass comment. I mean, I could understand having a snide comment once in a while, but every.single.time just makes you look like you're really trying to convince yourself. if you hate Stevie so much, why is the picture of Stevie still on your wall, thankfully, in the picture you've been posting for the past year or so?
thankfully, my ass.

I love that people have their panties all up in a bind about one little word.

I also love that these same people choose not to notice or remember when I say something about her that is positive and so they falsely claim that I never do.
Seriously people, all you gotta do is click on my user name, click view public profile, and then click "Add Miss Vicky to Your Ignore List." Pretty simple, really. Personally though, I think y'all like having something to bitch about so you resist the obvious solution.

oh go play with your rat.
I wonder if you purposely say some of the things you say to incite a reaction. and if you've said something positive, I apologize for implying you never do. perhaps, thankfully, you do and that's great.
come in...out of the darkness.

So, the Tom Petty show with Stevie.. I have it dvr'd. Actually my boyfriend recorded it for me when he saw Stevie was on so it is not the whole show. I think there are about 15-20 minutes missing from the beginning. It was aired on Rave HD on January 27th. I get Rave as part of the HD programming through Dish Network. Trying to work with anyone from Dish that has a brain is very difficult but the HD programming is so great that I try to overlook it.
I will try to remember to look tonight to see when it will be on again for any of you who might have this channel.
This was the Live from Gainesville show and it was really good. Stevie did Stop Dragging, I Need to Know and one other I can't remember the name of. She then did a sort of back up on American Girl and one other song that is slipping my mind. She looked and sounded really great and looked like she was having a lot of fun.
If there were any way of getting this from my DVR to you guys I would. I'm totally technically challenged though, so if this is possible, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Isn't this the same show that aired on Rave TV in Hi Def?

No, we can just call you on your obnoxious, pointless posts. And don't let any of it go to your head....we don't really live for writing about you, just once in a while need to show how ridiculous it is that you come into the Steve fan board and trash her.

See, that would be different because you'd actually be discussing something of substance. It's fine to say "I think TISL is a bad album because....XYZ". But to come in and take gratuitous swipes at Stevie just to taunt the fans is unnecessary and obnoxious.

I would kill to see this. I'm still hoping for March 3rd on my local PBS station, as advertised. Those TP/Stevie shows last year were some of the greatest moments of my life....maybe that doesn't say much about my life, but still.

Hey, did anyone ever notice how much Tom Petty looks like Skeletor or an Auschwitz survivor now? I'm sex god compared to him. God, I heard his Gainesville concert and he just groaned throughout the whole thing and let the audience sing along. Pouring molten wax on my penis is more fun than hearing Tom live. His setlist hasn't changed for 10 years now. What a hack. All of his songs sound the same, and I've seen old women rock their bedpans harder then him. Thank God Stevie was there. Man, she was such a babe and her voice hasn't sounded this great in years.
Its sounds like Bob Dylan has been trying to crawl out of Tom's nose lately. He sucks. I wish I could tie him up and gag him for his last album. It sucked so much I can't even begin to explain why so I'll just leave it at that. It was the worst album I've ever bought, even though I gave it a decent review when I first bought it. Hey, my mommy puts a gold star on my forehead every time i say something petty about Tom! LOL!
