So, let's say that Stevie wanted to put out a new materials c.d. What kinds of unreleased demos would you want her to put on the disc, and how many new songs and such.
Must Have Demos For Me:
1. Space Needle
2. Dial The Number
That's all I can think of at the moment, but I know there are more. I would definately want a few new songs too. What about you all?
Much Love,
Ethan

What I really think ought to be done is for her solo albums (the first three, at least) to be remastered and expanded with some of those demos. I don't know why they don't.
I'd want a new CD to be mostly newly-written songs, although I wouldn't complain if she put out a CD where she just re-recorded the old demos. I'd love for her to do The Dealer and Three Birds of Rhiannon.

That's what I would also like. I odn't think I would want her to re-record some of the demos. I think a lot of them would lose the emotion they had originally. I'd rather have cleaned up versions of the original recordings.

You made a very good point there.
Still...I'd love to see release of (in any form) The Dealer, Dial The Number, Are You Mine, Julia, All The Beautiful Worlds, Something Exquisite and Baby Doll. These were all songs that seemed to be developed far beyond the demo stage.
Alas...Don't Treat Me Like A Stranger and The Tragedy of One's Own Soul are indeed tragedies and should deposed of in a nuclear waste dump.

Indeed...I know alot of folks grouse about TOSOTM but can anyone imagine how putrid it would have been if she'd stuck with Kenny G as the producer as originally planned? Bleech.

Yes, I'm glad she came to her senses and realized her place was NOT in "easy listening."

hi all...i would love for her to put out new material but still release the remastered demos she has...i really don't belive stevie could sing her old demos in the same fashion she made them as her voice has changed so much...destiny, the tower, say u will were not done as well as the demos...i don't know if it was her voice or lindsey's production of them...i know stevie said she wasn't happy with the way they came out on the say u will cd...if she ever takes some time off to work on new songs or remix some demos maybe we'll get a new cd but at this point i think she's having fun just touring...take care...pat

I think that if we get one more album of new material, it should be the "talked about forever" - Songs of Rhiannon album.
Rhiannon is what began Stevie's career, it became her signature song and her on stage persona.
It would only be fitting that she finally record these songs and put them out.
It would be her perfect (dare I say it) "swan song" album (gasp) before the onslaught of "best of's" and live albums that are coming in the years ahead.
I think we will be lucky if we ever get an album of new material - but if we do - this has to be it in my opinion.
It will probably be released the same time as her book. LOL!
