View Full Version : Notice To ALL Ledgies

In recent weeks, interactions here on The Ledge have taken on an increasingly hostile tone. Several board members, both older and newer, have allowed their personal annoyances with another member to negatively affect their behavior.

Ledge users have always had the option to place on "Ignore" anyone who annoys them.
If users opt to not take advantage of that feature, then it is required of them to employ restraint and to ignore those who irritate them by their own volition.

As is clearly spelled out in the Ledge guidelines, "harassing, insulting, taunting, nasty-remarks, name-calling, deriding, mocking, criticizing and carping" are all forbidden here.

The moderators have warned on many occasions, both publicly and privately, that this behavior needs to cease -- yet the offenses continue to mount. Up to this point, it's been difficult to police this particular situation, because it involves multiple people, multiple threads and multiple forums. However, we are now redoubling our efforts to prevent this behavior from continuing.

This message serves as an official notice to all involved that, from this point on, any further instances of the above violations, will automatically warrant the issuing of strikes.
As per our rules, each strike will be accompanied by a minimum 48-hour ban (it is up to the discretion of the moderators to increase the length of this temporary ban, if deemed necessary).
If a user is issued their third strike, they are permanently banned.

Additionally, the moderators will be reviewing various threads from recent weeks, and may issue strikes where warranted.

This is not up for discussion or debate. Our decisions on this matter are final.

Thank you,
The Moderators
