I'm almost to S. 7...:D Sadly I'm not looking forward to getting into 7 etc...mostly because I know Mulder leaves :(

Yeah...seriously when they opened the door over there I was expecting one of the kids to try to sell me chicle!

I'm being mean...I'm just really annoyed at the fact that they've packed that apartment full of children and loud Mexican tv...grrr.

I'll complain to management on Tuesday when I pay my rent...of course I think they hate me  I complain way too much...me thinking I could take apartment life was pretty dumb - though to my credit the people I'm having problems with are relatively new - the old tenants I NEVER heard....

I had a few drinks with my brother before he went down to his firends house, and I was meant to be going out as well, but I thought to myself - Why can't I just drink here  So I watched TV with my parents, while me and my dad got legless - then I went to bed

It was actually a whole lot of fun. It was pissing down with rain last night anyway, so that would have made partying difficult - but yeah, I enjoyed myself.

Oh yeah - and I just discovered that when I get to a certain point of inebriation, I slur my words

I'm not doin' ****. I had fun last night. I think that I'm only allowed one night of fun per year, anyway. The label I work for had a showcase last night, and my friend and I did merch. But, we spent most of the time dancing up at the stage, making fun of drunk people.. that kind of thing. It was cool.

I think I'll just watch Spinal Tap tonight and listen to some records. Eh.

Nah I'm at home with the fam. Considering the fact that my friends have been assfaces lately, I'd probably rather be here than anywhere with them.

Thats true. I would rather be in my own company than be with a bunch of people who didn't get me anyway

As long as you are enjoying yourself, thats the main thing - And if you are not, get off your ass and go to a bar or a club!!!!

Downtown Toronto is a blast, seriously. Granted it might be a little shady in some parts, but there's always something going on. Wish I could say the same for Burlington or Hamilton. Downtown Hamilton has gone to the friggin' dogs.

I LOVE T.O. I was there for the week after Labour Day (hey, I was in Canada, so I'm going to use THAT spelling). As for Hamilton going to the friggin' dogs, that's actually ironic, as the Bulldogs' attendance doesn't look so hot. (I feel tempted to make a Sheila Copps joke, but I'll be nice.)

Sure, it gets shady in T.O. There was a double murder/suicide, or triple murder (they weren't sure) at the Delta Chelsea the day after I left T.O., which creeped me out a bit, as that's where I was staying in T.O., and it's a nice hotel.

The funniest part of the trip, for me, was ending up in the audience of Canadian Idol, where I saw Brian Mulroney and Tony Bennet AND got a packet of Kraft Dinner. They were all about the Kraft Dinner that night.

What is the best city to be in?

Depends on what you're looking for... I would def. not vouch for Hamilton, unless you're looking in the really upscale, Hess Village area... which you're probably not, lol. Burlington is a boring bubble, but in terms of safety, it's better than Toronto. I personally like it, esp. downtown. It's nothing like Toronto, but it has its own charm.

I haven't been anywhere else long enough to judge. :p

Before anybody asks, I'm a straigt guy, and a hockey fan. I was going to see Maple Leafs Gardens (to have a good cry). As it turns out, the gay neighborhood was right behind it. Well, T.O. is where the American version of "Queer As Folk" was taped, and it seemed to be a pretty vibrant community. In general, T.O. doesn't seem to be all that hung up on it.

HAHA, Mulroney! Hell of a celeb sighting. Go ahead with the Sheila joke; no one likes her anymore.

The Delta Chelsea's pretty nice. The last hotel I stayed in there was the Pantages, just across from Massey Hall. *That* is nice x1000.

^^ Michael... um, I'm tempted to say the gay life in Burlington is not so hot. I have no idea. lol. Toronto's good for that sort of thing, I think. Just google "gay Toronto"...

:) lol, here I am saying Toronto's this and that, and yet it seems to be the most persuasive... I could see that, though, really. If you love parties and clubs, it's the place to be.

FWIW, I would move to southern Ontario in a heartbeat. Not necessarily Toronto, as housing prices are through the roof, well compared to London or Hamilton, anyway. My standards are pretty low. If the town is within an hour of a major city (i.e. a city that will likely get the good shows, or be within two hours of the show) AND have a hockey team, then that's where I'd like to be. Actually, Dayton meets this criteria, so I'm good here. But, I'd still love to be in Ontario. Or, maybe Nova Scotia (I love Halifax..."MacDougall" isn't a weird name there). I love Canada. It's where I go to get away from the fog that is everyday American life. I never feel scared about the unknown whenever I'm there. It's where I go to get the two minutes or so of clarity that gets me through. Even my mother says she thinks I'll be a Canadian citizen someday.

Hell, I've seen Gordon Lightfoot at Massey Hall, and the Guess Who at the Freedom Festival in Windsor (on July 4th)! I've had poutine...at a hockey game! I own a guitar that was made in Canada...just because it was MADE in Canada. And, I've never applied to get my GST $$$ back from Revenue Canada for the taxes I've paid.

However, I have a house payment and a career choice that has limited potential for men, so I doubt that will happen anytime soon. Someday, though, I'm pretty sure it will happen. And I look forward to that day. Luckily for me, I could start working in Canada under NAFTA, as Social Workers fall under that umbrella.

Aw, nice evening.

I joined my good friends and their little girl at the beach for their ritual of throwing flowers in the ocean while expressing gratitude for good things in 06 and making wishes for 07. I did wish for a new Stevie setlist, among other things, so we'll know in March if there really is a God.

Then I had dinner out with a friend and we went to one of my favorite bars for a small (and pretty bad) drag show and blowing horns and all that. Just horns.

I'm not too hungover and now off to find pancakes.
