So, today I got my copy of the new Stevie bio and I am reading it. It says that during a show during Rumours, during Rhiannon, Lindsey twirls around, kicks Stevie and throws his guitar at her....
I was wondering if anynody knew if there was any video of this as it would be very interesting to see....
Thank You,
Ethan

This has been discussed here several times in the past. It has been mentioned in interviews with a couple band members, and the story seems to change often. There is no video.

Wow! It sounds like Lindsey had a lot of issues. What grown man would do that? Throw a guitar at her and kick her? Eeek!

There's more about it in Mick Fleetwood's book. I'm sure it was on the Tusk tour not Rumours..it was in New Zeland or Australlia I believe..from what I remember, Lindsey got really drunk before the show and during Rhiannon, flipped at stevie. He was pulling his jacket up over his shoulders and twirling like stevie..a sort of drunken impression. He was playing the song all wrong and then started kicking Stevie whilst she was singing. The whole show was also going out live on the radio. Also there was a big who-har going on after the show when Christine slapped Lindsey one and threw her drink over him for what he did...i can't really remember that well but someone posted the extract on here from Mick's book a while ago.

So, a drunk ex-lover's quarrel, almost 30 years ago. Some people don't even live that long. In the grand scheme of things I rate it about an importance of "2" on a scale of 1 - 1,000,000 of significant occurances in our universe, 1 being of very least importance. And why anyone would be interested in the video? Beyond me.

It was also reported that he pulled his Armani suit coat over his head. Mick describes the incident in his book to some degree of hilarity.

I laughed my head off. I promissed myself a white line once in my life when I finished that book. You can almost sniff it from the pages.

You mean because he missed her? Luckily Stevie never broke a nail to Mr Buckingham (as far as I know) or there would be altars to remember the sad event in many signatures here.

Lindsey didn't throw the guitar at Stevie to hurt her. He wanted her to catch the guitar and play the solo herself just for once. Fleetwood Mac being spontaneous just for once. Stupid Chiffonologists!

I'm suspicious of the reason to start this thread in the first place.

well i personally have heard and read several dif versions of this reprehensible behavior of lindsays...i still can't stand the guy...i mean come on stevie's just a little thing it's no wonder everyone went to her aid...john told lindsay to just leave and he took it literally...i think the whole episode shows what drugs and love gone bad can do to a band and i for 1 am waiting with baited breath for the tell all book...regards pat

I think you're talking about the incident in 1987 at a band member's (can't recall which one right now) home - the one mentioned in Mick's book. Ethan is asking about an incident that apparently happened on stage in NZ in'79 or '80.

Christine's house I think. Not that that's all that relevant! But I think it was hers.

Oh, I'd pay $$$ for THAT video. Everything is so scripted with Fleetwood Mac these days that seeing Lindsey snap would be hilarious. I'd pay even more money to see Christine slapping Lindsey afterwards.

I thought it was Lindsey's scotch she snatched out of his hand and threw over him...In that case, I sure hope his suit was Scotch-guarded!
And so concludes today's Lame-Pun Theatre. *bows*
