translated from here, http://www.haaretz.co.il/hasite/pages/ShArtWin.jhtml?itemNo=803088 part of an article concerning the best and worst of the year.
From Stevie to Lily / Dana Kessler
"(...) The worst thing that happened this year in pop was the new version of Dreams, done by the duo Deep Dish. Every year there's a lot of shit, and that's okay, as long as it's not thrown directly in your face. The Iranian-American DJ/producers duo have done this year a horrible deed, and released a vulgar and hollow dance version to one of Fleetwood Mac's most beautiful songs.
Originally, Dreams was the second single off the masterpiece Rumours; the song, which became one of the biggest hits of all times, was written and sung by Stevie Nicks about her relations with her lover and bandmate Lindsey Buckingham. For many long years a vast part of the pop charts is built on generations of listeners that are unfamiliar with classics, and therefore eagerly swallows new versions to classics, it's a matter of routine, only this time the routine was broken. Although Nicks granted Deep Dish's request to be featured in the new version, the outcome is much more than cheap opportunism, it is impurity."

I have to say for my own peson tastes, I agree with the article. It's just too hard for me to accept anyone trying to do Fleetwood mac or related stuff.

I totally disagree. The outcome is a fresh and respectful update of a classic, that maintains the melody and demonstrates just how timeless our Stevie is. I love it and I'm not a dance music guy at all.

I quite like it actually... though I may have felt differently had Deep Dish used a different vocalist. But being that the original singer & songwriter is present and accounted for, it gives it more depth and authenticity to me.

Well, at least somebody had something nice to say about Stevie for once.

The remix is one of my favorite versions of Dreams. It's certainly a lot better then the way she's been performing it live for the last 15 years

I like the remix. I play it all the time. I think it is great that Stevie is getting more exposure out there, even if it is a dance remix.

I'm on the fence with this new version of the song. Although, I do love Stevie's new vocals on the track, the track is not dance-worthy. For me, it would be hard to dance to in a club because of it's pace. It's fast, but not fast enough. It's more of a sway back and forth remix, than a full-on dance track. With that said, it does gear up a crowd prior to her arrival on stage during her concerts.

100% agree wit u Curtis...I thinks he should keep it for the 2007 tour...just make like a video intro with it though...

1 thinks she should keep it for the 2007 tour.....
That's a given....and she will keep it for the 2008, 2009, 2010, etc. etc. tour.
I like it as the opener, and I've come to love the Bootylicious thing also.
BTW, I don't think there is a 2007 "tour". Two Florida shows, some private cash-raking shows, and 4 nights in Vegas does not a tour make.

I kinda like it with the black screen. Then, the I Can't Wait walk comes on the screen and Stevie stands there with her tambo......Dramatic!
....in a perfect world, the band would begin to play I Can't Wait.

I like this new version. Simply because they got her to actually sing some falsetto and really commit to it. The vocal sounds like she is into it and gives a rip, which is more than I can say I have heard in any live performance of it since...oh, 1980.

Can we bring back Diana Ross, too? I was listening to this concert bootleg from December 1981 and someone kept shouting "look, over on the side of the stage! It's Diana Ross!"

I agree with the post about it not being "danceable" but it really is a very cool vocal. Reminds me of the Vegas shows I saw.
I still get excited when I hear it randomly at a bar or in a shop...

I actually heard this for the first time on the radio tonite in my truck on the way home from dinner and loved it. I had the radio turned down real low, barely audible but my trained ear heard the very faint, sweet voice of my Stevie and I cranked it. I was thinking, I could totally see this being played in a dance club and really having fun with it. I think this is about the "newest" song we're going to get from Stevie for awhile, so I'll take what I can get!

Having said this. The corrs version of dreams bugs the crap out of me.
