I just had a great bowl of chicken and wild rice soup with tons of garlic and cracked pepper. It was delicious. Of course, I just harfed up an entire mouthful of it, and it wasn't so great the 2nd time around.

I had to stop about a minute in for fear that it would ruin the song
for me forever. It's truly creepy.
Bad Curtis.
Curtis needs a spanking.
Actually, on the off chance that Curtis might like a spanking, he can't have one.

I am a woman with autism. I made this montage to honor Clay Aiken for his ability to keep on going even through the tough times.

Goddamnit I'm emotional enough this time of year. There aren't enough kleenexes in the world. :distress:
I'd rather be alone. I really would. Don't you know.

That is kind of why this fits for me, oddly. Because I don't really like that song, it's way too cheesy, and so is gayken. It totally goes with his facial expressions, too.
I dunno, it just seemed natural somehow, like one of those grammy tributes when someone dies, where they pick the cheesiest song, and nobody likes the person, but somehow the song is cloying enough, and the clips poignant enough, that you almost get sad. You remember that one song that was kind of cool, and then the other two.
Until you realize you are watching a stupid tribute to someone you thought mostly sucked, with a super cheesy song in the background making them look way better than they really were, which you think is fine, b/c after all, they did die, so why not look at the best now?
Although, since it is a Stevie song, I like it better than most songs of its ilk. Definitely one of my least favorites by her, though. Except she always does it like it is so meaningful and good, and she puts on that important dorky hat that signals she may be deeper or better shortly, and so against my will and good judgment, I kind of like the stupid well sang song. Damn you, Stevie! Damn you and your rusted (as opposed to golden) pipes that get me every time! But in reality I have always thought of it as the most inappropriately self absorbed stevie songs. I love stevie, she's always self absorbed to some degree. But there are varying degrees, and sometimes it is just too much, too lame. I mean, it always is, but sometimes it gets to the level where it bothers me. She has totally worn me down as far as tolerating self aborption. lol.
HAEWAFY is one of my self absorption limits.
Like, a guy that you are dating and love's small daughter dies, and you talk about the healing powers of your singing, and how you give it to people? Mmmmmyeah. Mmmmkay. And how you've written that for them, and given it to them, and are giving it to the world?!
I have no problem with the sentiment, I just don't think it is good with the story of Joe's daughter. I think it is bad.
This song plus the way she tells the story of the song, is using the situation to produce self serving pap. I'm not saying that stevie necessarily had bad intentions, I'm just saying this is one situation that she should have either written a less cliched self absorbed song for, or left entirely alone.
But Curtis should still definitely be shamed...
But not as much as aspiegirl who is using FM/Stevie in a horrible manner, to memorialize gayken...

Wait, Kasheisha? You're just arbitrarily making up names!!! So, yeah, it's all good. DaNostril. You know I love you, DaNostril.
Anyway, am I wrong? Yes, I am wrong if you really like HAEWAFY bunches, but otherwise, I am totally right.
Stupid cheesy poignant gayken, stupid cheesy poignant stevie....

That is wrong in so many ways. I stopped about 30 seconds in, because, I too, did not want that song ruined for me. I love that song, and now I am afraid that I am going to think of Clay Aiken everytime I here it  Curtis, you do need a spanking!
