Hi guys - With all the talk about Chris Nicks's new website lately, I had a question for you guys -
I came across this once - It's from the note that Stevie wrote to her fans when the Official Fan Club was closed down. She said,
"I know that you are, and everything is, fine.
Forever is a very long time
and I will see you there."
I thought that was great and I was wondering what other people thought of it. Did any of you belong to the Fan Club? Did anyone here receive this note? What were your feelings about it? Or if it's new to you, what are your thoughts/feelings about it now? Can anyone post the entire note?

For $10, I got Stevie's letter and button of that damn bird. Nothing else. A little while later, I got a letter saying their warehouse had been burglarized. Anyone else get that letter?

I'm surprised I wasn't in this fan club. Maybe I didn't have the money.
As for the note, it is sweet but how does she know we are safe and fine? And not "much love'?;)

I never heard that story and I was talking to him from the beginning to the end. He did tell me that Glen had walked out and that he was losing his shirt.

Don't feel bad. I didn't even know about it.:o And I saw her on that tour.
One of my friends knew this roadie guy and he used to tell me "I have tapes of her singing." I never acted on it becuase a) roadie guy was a bit scary and b) I smoked too much weed in those days. Oh, the missed opportunity there!

i got to see the june show in pittsburgh and the blossom show in ohio that tour - woo hoo -
i ve seen her twice at blossom[ cuyohghahhahhahhaa -:] thats such a fun word to misspell ]
i think that this was the tour where someone gave her this stuffed snake during the edge walk - it was huge - 30 feet long - i was in the last row of the lawn and she dragged it off stage and all you saw was the tail slowly dissappearing - it was so cute -
anyone else go to those shows?
i realize that this dates you if you say yes - but oh well - :blob2:
and oh yah - i sent my ten bucks
i got the button with the white bird
letter
and never heard anothr word -
but damn if i still didn't buy everything just the same

I know. She had some nerve assuming everyone was OK.

I remember getting that and thinking, WTF?
I saw her in Greensboro and later Columbia SC on that tour. Good times. Good times.

I think maybe she meant "safe" as in "not dangerous to her" - not a bunch of crazypeople. Fans, not fanatics. And "fine" as in, "FINE! "
(No really, more like, "cool," or maybe, "Just fine.")

I had this revelation while reading this thread at work, (but I can't log onto this site from work). This is what I think she ment by " I know you are safe and fine"
The letter is broken into paragraphs, but I think that this one goes along with the 1st paragraph, where she writes that she appreciates our smiles, thoughts, and our letters ("every word you write"). This is what lets her know that we are "out there" and that we are "safe and fine".
This sounds more "Stevie" to me. than presuming we are.
Any thoughts?
