As I mentioned 2 weeks ago, there are changes taking place on the lyric interp. board!!
The Lyric Interpretations section of the Penguin is one of the few pages on the site that is truly dependent on Ledgie participation, and the one section that allows everyone to express their views about the meaning behind all of their favorite Fleetwood Mac members songs.
Starting this week, the Penguin will begin offering a small token of appreciation of the successful moderation and posting of a qualifying lyric interpretation. Granted, there will be some rules regarding this qualification, but overall it's pretty easy!
What's the details, right??
What do you get??
The interpretationmoderator will receive one of the following of their choice:
1. $15 gift certificate toward the purchase of any Penguin-sponsored merchandise through the Penguin Gallery, Penguin Album Corner, or Calender Program.
2. $10 gift certificate for purchase of items from CDNow, Amazon.com, or B&N.com, for redemption via the Penguin site.
3. $10 toward the purchase of merchandise from any other Penguin-associated site listed in the "Purchase Fleetwood Mac-Related Items" section on the Ledge main page; to be arranged with the Board Moderator (Stewy) also through the Penguin site.
What's the conditions?
1. The moderator must follow the normal posting of lyrics for interpretation and posting of final interp. on the Lyric Interp Board and mailing to Marty for addition to the Penguin Lyric Interp page, as per the normal FAQ.
2. The interpretation will need to have at least 4 active interpretations of the lyrics for combination into the final interpretation. Moderators should be willing to encourage people to interpret their chosen song via posting on the various boards, etc. If people are posting about your song on another board, get them to also post this on the lyric board.
3. The final interpretation must be completed and posted to the Lyric Interp Board no later than 1 month after the 2 week interpretation session is completed. After this time, the interp can still be posted and added to the site, but the interp will NOT qualify for the award.
Any other catches?
The only other catch is this - when redeeming gift certificates for Penguin-associated sites such as CDNow, etc, the redemption should take place through the Penguin's link to that site. This allows the Penguin to receive a commission for the referral and will help ensure the continuation of the BEST FM SITE ON THE PLANET!!
