So I am sure most of us here really love Stevie and our music. In this thread I thought it would be nice if we simply talked, and discussed why we love Stevie.
I think for me it is the essence that she portrays. As a young guy, it is like nothing I had ever know, and it has cast a spell on me and wrapped me in a long dark wing:thumbsup:
Much Love,

Well it's her voice, her passion, her lyrics....and her overall persona.
When I first got into Fleetwood Mac (I'm a Dancer) I vowed to never be one the "Stevie Nicks obsessives" - so I got into Christine...but then I don't know what happened...but Stevie got me under her spell and I became a "Stevie Nicks obsessive"
Her music just really speaks to me, my sister's friend Christie said it best, "she sings my soul" I love that.
Her voice rocks my world too....I just have lots of love for the music of Stevie.

Aha! A (now former?) Christine lover! I knew there was a reason I liked you. :)

Her voice. It's crazy. Hard to put a finger on. Some people call it honey and whiskey. To me, that's Kim Karnes or someone more gravely. I would call it having a resonance that's almost elvish. Kind of dual-pitched, like there's some helium involved somewhere. It's crazy cool. Listen to "Talk to Me"... (a song I've been listening to that song a LOT lately) .. the part where she sings "to veil a swelling tear" and you'll really know what I mean by elvish.
I've always loved the boots and the chiffon and her starlike photogenic quality. Her chanteuse-ity. All that chiffonhead stuff. All of which would not have near the same appeal to me if it were not for that crazy cool elvish voice.
As for the lyrics, yea.. some are really pretty cool. I used to think noone compared. You know... massive obsession... can't see straight, etc. But I've been really listening to other songs lately and there's a few really good lyricists out there. I like me some Bon Jovi and Bono... and some of Lindsey's new stuff. But they don't wear platform boots.:D
Her unique voice and an indefinable quality. She is one of the few artists whose music I can safely say I never grow tired of listening to and she is timeless.

Oh, just so many things - especially her amazing set-list.

the fact that she brings out the shame in me. I mean, without Stevie, I'd never have known what it feels like to be ashamed.
