Well, what a surprise. Another teenybopper slutting up one of Stevie's songs. Typical dance song with tinny, digitized vocals. As corny as the original video was, at least it had something resembling a story. Not to mention rooms. And rooms that were on fire.

It's so lame. Basically, all I got out of this video is that she and her friends are spoiled brats who like to get laid in tents and party.

I suppose this video once and for all exposes the excesses of the 80s. These days a supersoaker qualifies as a "wanton luxury."

And why shouldn't it?

My ears hurt now. Suck. The video was amusing though - because it's just so not fitting...but yeah....HATED IT!

Oh hell, when will they ever stop completely raping Stevie's creative brilliance like this? How insulting.

The hard thing with covering most of Stevie's songs is that they are so personal I think it's extremely difficult for the vocalist to interpret and sing the lyrics the way the were meant to be sung..
It's sweet that this girl is a fan but I'm not feeling anything from the song.:o

If I were Stevie I'd be highly offended that anyone would find a way to bring this song down to such low levels...

Just. vomited. in. my. mouth... a. little.
What is remarkable is that every single note in this version is faithful to the original, right down to the vamping at the end of the song (except the "long nets of white" part). It's even the same key. Yet it's still unlistenable. And unwatchable. What really gets me is that smug little smile she puts on while delivering such serious lyrics, almost as if to say "like, look at me... I have no idea what I'm singing about... but, like, I'm really cute and stuff... and I totally rock in this mini-skirt!"

I too think it sucks but I am always happy when young people recognize and love Stevie.

Perhaps if she chose a different song and there was no T&A in the video, just the vocals... it might be better? I dunno. I didn't think her vocal quality was all that bad. People give Parish Hilton a bad rap too, but I didn't think her voice was all that bad. And I don't think I'm tone deaf. If you disagree, you probably won't want to listen to my entry in the Gold Dust II project or you'll go deaf.
Edit: I actually don't care for the video at all or the remix disco beat because I'm old and I'm not into that stuff. I do agree that if it's a shout out or a nod to Stevie then that's cool.
