wow. I thought that was almost lovely. there were some parts I would change, but for the most part it stayed true to the original, but newer, fresher.

I love Evanescence!

Me too. I've just snatched up and original copy of the first album "Origin" from ebay. WOOO! I don't think "The Open Door" is as good as "Fallen" but it's a freakin good try.

Did anyone actually see this performance on Australian TV? I am curious as to what the judges reactions were? He seemed to get a good reception from the audience, but for those of you who watched Season 1 of American Idol may remember the judges reactions when Nikki McPhibbin performed Edge of Seventeen.

I had to play it again, because I wasn't listening to him the first time, just staring. What a cutie!
It seems like he had a little trouble with some high notes but I love his phrasing and style, and he really seems to have the spirit, and mood of it. I also enjoyed his guitar. I don't watch Idol here, but do the American artist play instruments ever?
I think I will keep an eye on him, for several reasons ;^)

I liked it. It's hard for me to hear a male voice singing it though.

I don't think they are allowed. I've never seen one play an instrument during competition.

OH-MY-GOSH! I REALLY ENJOYED THAT. I agree with jason, as he kept it close to the origianal, but just put a little bit of a modern spin on that. I want an mp3 of this version. Whats that kids name? he got voted off?

P.S. I like evenesence to (sp?) Amy lee is cool. I love that song "broken"

His name is bobby flynn. He always does an interesting take on songs. Also, a few weeks ago he wore Bowie style face paint and on tuesday night's show the idol contestants were able to perform thier own original songs. Needless to say his song was great & very unique.
I can't believe that he got voted off....
Hopefully he puts out a cd soon.
I'd like to know what stevie would think of his Rhiannon.

Nice to hear the original lyrics.
So tired of the bastardized versions offered up by la nicks over the last 20 plus years.

I do not think he is singing the original lyrics

I think the original lyrics were "who will be your master" -- at least that is what she sang in the BN concert we got a year or so ago. He also flubs a few other lines that I think are ad libs. But, he did a good job.

I thought he was great. But what the hell did the judges say?

mark said that he is a "real artist" and marcia said "i love what you do". Kyle didn't like the performance as much and proceeded to say "I was expecting you to blow me" when the audience started laughing. He then explained that he meant "I was expecting you to blow me away and that didn't do it for me".

They introduced the song by stating that if you were a girl born in the 70's this was probably your name.

I just watched it, and I thought it was really good. Interesting.

I think Bo Bice did play guitar once on American Idol if I'm not mistaken.
