back by popular demand. I'm still thinking about the details, but start considering what songs you'll want to do.

Get a microphone? Plug it into one of your USB ports?

Then I think the people who sound good use garageband to record with.

I'm very excited that Ravenofrhiannon has the Kind of Woman track. I love that song, so very, very much (Duh). Not saying I'm going to do it for the project, just saying. :laugh:

There are certain songs that you just CAN'T touch: edge, GDW, Planets, Rhiannon, Sisters of the Moon, BATB. They should just be left to the expert. If I could sing, i'd do silver springs. But I can't, so i won't. Good luck with this guys.
obviously you've never heard some of the talent on this board.

I also wanted to tell you all that I will be making a donation to the AHI in Stevie's name. not sure exactly how I'm going to calculate the exact amount, but it's going to tie into this project somehow. PM me if you have ideas.

i don't have the backing tracks that folks have - but i do have a song or two from a bootleg recording of a live show by my band -
don't know if it fits in here but hope you don't mind if i post it anyway -

it is "i miss you now" from tisl - and as you hear it's a bit different of a song in our hands - lol -

i used to skip over this song all the time when i got tisl -
it was just to sleepy and lullabye - but i would catch my self singing the words to myself alot
then one day i was plunkin on my guitar to a song that was playing from my random play function on my mp3 player - and when it was over "i miss you now" came on and i just kept pluckin along to it too -
then over the next two hours it developed into the version that you hear - then i brought it to the band and tah dah - this was us playing it live in portland oregon about three weeks after we learned it

im nervous but here ya go :

I love your version. I always appreciated that the song had a good pop hook, but I never cared for it very much either. You really did something cool with it, I like the moving energy.
And what a fun band—great group of musicians! I love hearing the horns, and the harmonies.
I want more!
My band covers a Nicks song, but we weren't imaginative/creative enough to really change it much.

we do a stevie/mac tribute night once a year for the last 8 or so years - and someone always records them - one year i even have on 16 individual track recording - ill have to dig around for something cool

- we do a version of edge/17 that i'd like to hear your thoughts on
- i know i have a gdw thats passable - a little tempo slow - but pretty true to the original -

well i just went upstairs and without looking to hard found a few disks -
we have lots of guests on our tribute night and one of the tracks i found is my friend sue doing gypsy with just her and the guitar - it's fukin killer but i wanna ask her first -
but tons of stuff - i found the old setlists and we have done different 51 nicks/mac tunes (crow, petty, walter egan - etc , , , i reserve the right to pick any song that remotely has to do with stevie - one year we even did the theme song for "wonder woman" as a tribute to her powers - and then mysteriously she started doing the whole lasso thing on the SYWill ditty - Coincidence??? - i think not - but i digress) -

i have a video of me and my friend practicing "without you" for the tribute night -
- but i run out of breath a few times and slip off key but thats why they call it practice -

glttr fades/souldrifter/so afraid/gldbraid/savemeaplace/gyoway/landslide

jaz - u started this thread so ill ask u direct if u think this is the place to post anothr song - or should i start a seperate one? don't wanna hijack your thread - lol
