Lindsey confirmed in the L.A. Times on Friday that FM plans to start rehearsing new tour after Christmas. FYI:nod:

He talked about starting work on the rest of the other new album after Christmas. He said somewhere else that the Fleetwood Mac thing won't be started until late 2007, early 2008.

Actually, it's still a mystery to me, because he already had the kids when he started rebuilding the house. He's had that property for a long time, so surely he knew before he started that it wasn't going to be a kids friendly neighborhood. :shrug:

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited about this...I got to see Heart twice last year and twice this past summer, and I need to satisfy my FM fix!

Oh I don't know........ when you have a kid sometimes you don't think that far ahead if you know what I mean. I remember my husband just had to have a 2 door car--could not be 4 door because that just wasn't cool!! ha ha What a pain in the behind that was putting a kid in and out of the car seat in the back....... did I think of that at the time--nah...... or maybe Lindsey really wanted to keep the property/house and Kristin talked him out of it because of the kids........ sometimes you think something will work out and then you realize as time goes by that maybe it wasn't the best idea!! :thumbsup:

I think she is unprepared to do that now in terms of desire and material unfortunately...

I just posted the LA time article on the first page of this thread..everyone can see for themselves what LB says about the Mac tour. He clearly states he is starting his electric album after Christmas and FM may tour towards the end of 07. It has been removed from Jana's calender..she had tour rehearsals scheduled for January, which she confirmed was for FM. That was removed several weeks ago..obviously things have changed...I expect to see FM in late 07, with rehearsals starting late summer/ early fall.

To be fair, you stated "Lindsey confirms FM Tour!" which he did not do in the L.A. Times article. :shrug: Here's the part I assume you're referring to:

The final version of "Under the Skin" is an innocent thing, more in sync with the experiments of younger artists such as Sufjan Stevens and Joseph Arthur than with typical rock-legend side projects. He hopes new fans will find him on tour. "I don't know who my audience is," he admits.

He does know where to find the old machine, and the fans who keep it well-oiled. Fleetwood Mac will tour again, and Buckingham is planning an electric record, maybe with a producer, probably with input from Fleetwood and McVie. The world may not have to wait a teenager's lifetime for his next release.

"After Christmas, we'll start, in theory," he said, not letting this project peep too far out of the cocoon yet. "I think it's going to rock. I don't know what it's doing yet."


I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's definitely not confirmed.

I didn't say you did. But starting a thread titled "LB confirms FM Tour" sure makes it sound like there's been offical confirmation. Maybe you didn't mean any harm, but can you see why maybe people misunderstood you & thought you were making it up? It didn't seem as if this were just your feeling or opinion, it read as if there was official word from Lindsey himself, which is untrue. :shrug:

FYI...rehearsals for the next Mac tour are scheduled for Sept 2007. Still waiting for the Edge of 17 boot from the Dance tour.....................

I'd love to see them... especially Stevie, I worship her... I'm dressing up as her for Halloween got a top hat and the shawl and all that jazz lol... But a lot of people won't have a clue who I am...
My uncle's seen the Mac live and he saw Stevie on her Other Side of the Mirror tour, and he said they were unbelievable... So I hope I haven't missed out on seeing these guys perform because I was born ten years too late!
