I apologize if this is old news, but I'm curious. I got an e-mail from Amazon advertising this book titled "Read Between My Lines." Does anyone know about it or has anyone read it? I's obviously not with her blessing but I wondered if it's valid enough to be worth a read....
Thanks! Martha

You can read the first few pages on Amazon.
I read the first few pages the other day, & found them thoroughly phony & dull & pointless.

It looks she copied and pasted from all of the Stevie websites. Terrible.

I guess we will just have to wait for Ms Nicks to come out with her own book. By the way way she speaks, that may be a long time awaiting:laugh:

I want a huge, thoroughly researched tome on the band's entire history & its work & its place in popular culture. I want something akin to Albert Goldman's books on Lennon & Elvis, or Danny Sugerman's book on Morrison.

Yes, I agree, I would like that also. I think Fleetwood Mac deserves a book worthy of thier greatness but, who in the hell cares anymore? I mean... it's not like Fleetwood mac are like Elvis as far as pop culture goes. And besides who would write a book like you descibe? Are there any good writers nowadays that care???

Are there any good writers nowadays that care???I don't know of any celeb-bio writers who are any good because I don't really read those books & so am not familiar with the writers' names or their work. But I have always wanted one of the Old School Rolling Stone critics--or an equivalent--to write the Big Mac Book. The two writers whose names I always throw in as possibilities: Ken Tucker & David Gans.

Jesus. That's the beginning of the book? I had a suspicion she couldn't write for toffee and I was right. Also, "arguably rock n' roll's most notorious singer/songwriter", what the hell?
Yeah, a somewhat unflattering opening line. I wonder if the author confused notorious with famous.

I thought about that too, but most of these things were shielded from the public. Granted, rock stars are inherently notorious. But Stevie is not one of the first people you think of when coming up with that list.
