Dear Matt,

As a Highway Companions Club member, you have the first opportunity to purchase tickets for the upcoming Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers show in Toronto, ON in a fan club presale that starts on Monday, July 31.

Location: Toronto, ON
September 8, 2006 @ Molson Amphitheatre
special guest to be announced

Fan club presale: Monday, July 31st @ 10 a.m. ET through
Tuesday, August 1st @10 p.m. ET (2 days)

Radio presale: Wednesday, August 2nd (10 a.m. to 10 p.m.)
Public on-sale: Thursday, August 3rd (10 a.m.)

Please visit www.highwaycompanions.com to purchase tickets on Monday.

The Fan Club presales start on Monday, July 31
Fan Club members who have purchased less than six tickets will be eligible.

Tom Petty's "Highway Companion," which was released Tuesday, went to the top of the album charts on the iTunes Music Store, Amazon.com and the Rhapsody online music service.
How to Purchase:
We have reserved up to 1,500 premium seats from this show for the Highway Companions Club presales. Members can buy up to TWO fan club presale tickets for any one concert. The maximum limit for the entire 2006 tour has now been increased to SIX fan club presale tickets per member. These tickets will be made available exclusively to club members on a first-come, first-served basis in the presale on Tuesday/Wednesday.

To get you into the presale, we have given you a ticketing code above. You will need it to make your purchase, and it's unique to you only. Even if you don't buy next week, you can use your code for a presale for a later show on the tour. Upcoming shows and their presale dates will be announced as soon as they are finalized and we will continue to notify you by e-mail. If you already purchased six tickets, you are no longer eligible to purchase.

You cannot use your code to make your advance ticketing purchase until the presale begins. Take care of this e-mail -- and don't let anyone else who might use your code have access to it!

To ensure that Highway Companions Club tickets get into the hands of fans -- and not scalpers -- members will need to pick up their tickets at the venue's Will Call window on the night of the show, and they will be required to present the credit card used to purchase the tickets and a government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, etc.)

We will offer the best seats that we can for our members during the presale, but we anticipate high demand for these premium tickets and we expect the presales in each market to sell out quickly. Club membership does not guarantee the ability to purchase tickets during the presale -- once the tickets are gone, we are sold out! However, club members will have the opportunity to purchase concert tickets again during the local radio presale and when they go on sale to the general public.

No, not yet. No biggie. I think I'd rather wait anyway and confirm first that Stevie will be there and either try for good seats right before the show or settle for lawn. It's a great venue and the lawn seats are pretty good.

Aug 3rd at 10AM, I think. The tix are 210 each? Am I reading correctly? If that's true, there is no way in hell I will be able to go. No sir.

Yes! http://www.hob.com/venues/concerts/molsonamp/seating.asp You're pretty damn close. I'm envious. When I checked for tix later on in the day, I could only get seats in the 400 section or the lawn. That's what I get for sleeping in, I guess!

Those are great seats. When I do a search for 1 ticket, there in the 200's, and when you search for 2 tix, they give me section 400.

Damn. If I were going alone, that'd be perfect.....
