I am sorry that you did not get to go. You know when I went to the Two Voices show in Mansfield last year they were giving away tickets to the people who lived in the 2 towns where the venue is located. They gave them 2 tickets each. No they weren't in the front sections but they weren't lawn either. Lots of towns people had extras and they were also giving them away.

Everyone kept wondering when she would come out, what she would sing, etc. She basically told me everything that has already been posted here; Stevie was nervous, looked gorgeous, had boots on (*SOB*), and sounded great. She did say that a lot of people left to go get beer, etc when they did Insider. Losers.

That happened to me at my first FM show, but I actually think they were smoking pot and people got angry and a fight broke out during Goodbye Baby.:distress: I just remembered at the Jacksonville show in 04 there was also a fight. Maybe I'm surronded by bad vibes??

BritThe mobs are unruly & uncivilized at these rock concerts. It's such a pain in the ass to even go & put up with it.

Sometimes it's funny, though. I remember fondly the two lesbians in leather jackets punching each other near me at the Concord Pavilion Stevie Nicks show in 1991. All eyes were on them, even mine. Granted, what was happening on stage wasn't terrifically interesting, but still ... I would like to have seen more of it than I actually did. Security is virtually useless. thank goodness these lesbians were very amusing as they punched & scraped & pummeled each other into squeezed grapefruit.

BritI had problems at the Cleveland Enchanted show in 1998 with these two Biatches 2 rows in front of me being really loud and drunk and making a scene for about 5 songs. NO one did anything, finally I stood up and told them in no encertain terms that I had come 700 miles to see this show, and I was damned if you 2 idiots were going to ruin it for me. Then I told them if they caused any more trouble during the rest of the show, theyd deal with me. Now I had no intention of getting physical with them, but by the look on their faces they got the message. They never made a peep the rest of the night.

I was at the show last night and it was fantastic. It would have been great without Stevie, but having her there and then hearing Insider? Unbelievable! I recorded the show, but I was on the front row and there are some sound issues. I'm sure some other recordings will surface, the Petty fans seem to do a good job in getting them.

But here is my copy of Insider. I never thought it would happen!

I think your recording sounds great - clear voices, not muffled. It felt like I was right there next to you.

I hope he plays the Greek! I've been kicking myself for not going last year. Maybe if Stevie has fun during these initial shows, she'll do the west coast regardless of venues. I'd think she'd want to do the Bay Area show. And maybe it cause her to say "wow, I should play these smaller venues".

Anyway, I'll add that to my prayers, but right now just hoping that Insider doesn't get cut. I'm really feeling like doing Insider was Tom's idea and that he was able to convince/inspire Stevie. Instead of being like "why don't you wear a frumpy cardigan so that you're not all flashy next to me" or "why didn't you thank me", he was probably sat down with her over lunch at the Ritz in Charlotte and was like "Stevie, come on, your voice is in top form and you just have to have confidence. My people tell me the internet is buzzing with fans who want to hear Insider. Let's give them a treat. You can do it."

He does know her better than she knows herself. :D

I'm a bit worried it may be dropped. Of course, it's Tom's show, NOT Stevie's, so he's the decider. :D I know he's always said he loves this song, he couldn't give it to Stevie for one of her albums, he just had to keep it. So I'm hoping (since he pointed out at this show that he loves it & never gets to play it live) that he'll insist it stays.
